In the past, Combat professions could earn 33-40k per mission. Now the absolute top is 11k. Now it takes nearly 4 hours non-stop work to earn 250k. No more 1-mil in a buff sessions.

If you have seen a definite decrease in income lately, please consider to lower your prices down to 1/3 to 1/4 to be able to sell them again. Yes, im serious.

-EDIT-
The price I complain about is chefs that demand 250-350k for a crate of brandy. Not thoose who demand 75-150k!
75-150k is a very reasonable price that combateers can afford without grinding their ears out.
-EDIT-

Why not go harvest a good creature resource then sell it to crafters, then you know what you've got? A self supporting economy. I know most good carn meat goes for 40 CPU, and crafters can still afford to pay that.

Hell save up for some miners, mine grind resources while there nothing decent in spawn then mine the good stuff when it comes around, there's some alu in spawn on my server that people are paying 7 cpu for, and its still in spawn!!

So basically what i'm saying people have adapted, you can still make the same amount of money, or even more money, if you know what to do.

90% of the expenses a Chef has goes into the pocket of the BE. The BE uses tons of cash on the meat needed for these tissues.

As long as the Meat needed to make Chef tissues are as expensive as it is, the prices of our products will remain the same.

If you picked up ranger instead, you'd get a piece of the cash as well.

There's absolutely no way in hell you'll get any chef to lower their prices to 1/4'th of the current price. Not only hasn't my sales dropped yet, but they have increased constantly. So obviously there's still a lot of money outthere.

If i was to lower my prices to your proposed level,3 things would happend.

1) What takes me 1 week to make, will be sold out in 24 hours - and then resold at other ppls vendors.

2) I'd be loosing so many cash on selling it, that i'd be out of business in a matter of weeks.

3) I could earn twice or more on just selling the raw resources.

So tell me... why would i want to do that?

Tell ya what... Once the market deflates and Im no longer paying 1.5-3 million per run of BE additives, and 50-100CPU for creature resource.. Sure!! My prices will drop like a rock!!

Till then.... Notta chance.. I barely turn as profit as is, and my sales are doing great, so I see no reason to drive myself further towards negative profit just because ppl can no longer run solo missions their entire gaming lives.

Mission Terminal -> Combateer: Combateers earns money, new cash is added to the playerbase

Combateer -> Artisan: Combateer buy stuff from artisans

Artisan -> Bio-Engineer/Noob Artisans/Rangers: Artisans buy resources from Rangers, Newbie Artisans and Rangers

Some cash is taken back by the game in terms of rent and shuttleports

The moneyflow from the game out to the other professions is now nerfed. Artisan Terminals and Entertainer Missions do not offer 5% of the money a combateer owns. The only way to earn some cash on top of Mission Terminals is by selling space loot. Already I have I seen a definite decrease of what people pay for rare loot and presliced items.

A reason why you still sell is becouse most Combateer's already had money when the nerf hit. Once their current wallets are empty, its going to be very difficult to sell food priced with the current prices.

You suggest I should "pick up Ranger" to earn my food. Its not my choice to play a Ranger, and there's 30 professions to feed... but let me ask you - who pays the Ranger?

I can siphon an artisans money from his pocket for awhile, but since his end customers (combateers) cant pay for his goods, he must start to drop whatever he pays the rangers. They are the last of the chain to feel the nerf, but they will, eventually.

So do like this:

Do not drop your prices now. Instead keep eyes up for cheaper resources. Dont buy resources if possible, use guildmates to get them for free/cheap. Many players are going jedi now, and quite a few want to be artisan as their second profession. When the Combateers run out of money, and you start to see that your income is dropping, then you can start to lower your prices, becouse then you have hopefully been able to lower the price of your resources.

Remember that its the players who set the prices on resources, not the game. Every player can become an Artisan and get resources for free.

In fact, this is exactly what we do right now. I build a chef with my alt, and my friend is building a Ranger/BE.

Maybe you should either change your professions or stop complaining about them

Then make friends with someone who is and ask them to let you know where to place your harvesters, I did this and made 10m over 4 weeks.

Run missions to get the credits for harvesters, then get someone to tell you where to put them, then sell what you get and bingo you got credits. Hell if I can make money doing that I'm sure everyone else can its not like Im any better than you or anyone else.

Oh and 1 other thing, if your a fighter try fighting things where you can pick up good loot, and you could sell that too

Loot was among the first things to loose their prices. We used to earn millions on AV-21 powerplants and looting NPC's during a day, but none of that sell anymore.

I mean, you can do missions for 30 hours straight to earn the 2 mil required for an AV-21 powerplant, but I doubt anyone will pay that anymore.
