After training in a Chef skill, you may need to re-log in order for the experience to display properly. I had this problem a few times on Test Center and when I logged out and back in again, the xp was actually there and began to display correctly.

Oh..one other thing. After you make your Alcohol, drink it! You will get Use XP of 1/2 the Crafting XP when you do....and it doesn't take up any stomach space. (At least that is how it worked in Test Center).

It could be lag...

I know it has happened to me.

Relog and see if your exp is there

I was playing with the chef foods today. I was getting chef exp for several of the recipies.

Try relogging. I had the same thing as someone else pointed out (not getting any xp), and relogging synced me up with what I was supposed to have, and started showing my gains afterward.

Dito, not getting exp for anything in chef, have been a chef for 2 weeks. Tried logging in and out, no exp yet. Any other sugestions?

Same thing here... about halfway through chef. XP is nowhere near a cap. Everything I try to craft is screwed and gives zero XP.

I just made Novice Chef today. Nothing I craft is giving me XP. Practice mode, non-practice mode. Near crafting station, not near crafting station. Doesn't matter.

Anyone know **edit** is up with this?

Are you sure that you are making chef food? Meaning, food that is in the artisan skill tree gives you general crafting experience. Food in the chef skill tree gives you chef experience.

OK, my alt just got Novice Chef, and I get Food Crafting XP from making alcohol (tried like 10 seconds ago). I did this both with a Generic tool, and the Food and Chem tool, and both worked fine.

I'm a little surprised that all the foods available at Novice say they require the 'Generic' tool. Does this mean that none of them can be experimented on, and if so, is it supposed to be that way?
