How much does a crate go for? Right now, I have a crate of Vasarian Brandy that I am going to sell. It's stats are:

+345 Mind/Focus/Willpower for 35 minutes 30 seconds, 50 Filling, 18 uses

And I have 2 other crates that will be done tonight, with slightly higher stats, because I have 2 more experimentation points since yesterday.

Those are bio-engineered, with a Broad-Spectrum Nutrient.

How much should I sell it?

First of all, get your filling 5% to 49 so people can take 2 if they want.

Second of all, pricing sort of depends on your server (and the phase of the moon, likely). There are a bunch of other pricing discussions in this forum, so if you read through them you can get a general idea of what other people are charging.

50 filling works. My brandy has 50 filling and I and my customers have had no problems taking two. But I have heard of people who cannot take two 50 filling brandies and only 49 will work. Just test it out is my opinion.

Ive seen people on flurry who can easily sell as high as 500k, I still havent finished mine in the factory yet, but when I do they will probably start at around 300-350k and see how they sell from there

175k was called obscene on FarStar and I went down to 130k - it really depends on your server.

Any price you set, someone is bound to call it obscene.

175 isn't obscene on farstar.... 130k is actually somewhat low... There are people on our server going as high as 375k or so, that is obscene, but 150-200k for a good be brandy should be find consider the cost of resources and be tissues etc.

Question from a non-chef...

What do you consider a 'crate'.. and how many servings PER item (as opposed to how many items IN the crate) are there?

Per item count is different for each object. On the brandy we are talking about, however, it is likely to be 18-21 because of the cask used in the crafting process. A crate is 25 of these items in a single stack, as 25 is the max size of a factory crate for food

Even at 130k I have sold 1 crate so far :/ I need to start with somewhat low prices to gather a customer base (pretty new Chef and all that). As a DE I sold quite a lot of BH Droids, and most of them to the same people. Getting repeat customers is somewhat important.

I think you either need to have a very good spot for your shop or a good reputation to get away with the high-end prices on all servers

(and no, I am *not* hologrinding - I dropped DE because I was so disappointed with the profession. Dropping Architect for Musician slowly, too, now. I cannot sustain more than one business and will run our Cantina as the singing and cooking frog instead )

As a BH I can tell you the same customers you had for BH droids.. will want some of your food (maybe not the mind food.. well least not me... but the other stuff I'm VERY interested in... though wrong server )

It was called obscene on Gorath, too. (Quickly followed by private tells saying if I reserve them a crate, they'd pay a premium.... go figure)
