Just curious has anyone had the resources to make better brandy than this:
+441 38m 21 uses 49 fill

I personally won't make brandy less than 45m duration. I get +424/45m 30s as my standard, which I would consider much better than anything below 40m duration.

Agreed.
The 45 minute duration is critical.

Personally, I think the +432, 46m0s, 21 use, 49 fill brandy I've been making for months is better than that.

yeah it's critical to have that 45 min duration, a few extra points to the F/W buff is really negligable to me, think i did like430 or so, for 43 mins, but admittedly starsider hasn't truly been blessed yet berry wise.

mines 433 46.5 50 fill 18 uses.
Like everyone else the +10 mind buff isn't worth the -8 minutes ( or more )

I make +430 for 43mins and I use em enough to know that by the time they're gone from my system I can take 2 more of them...So why is there a need for 45min Brandy???

Out of curiousity, how many points do you guys typically use to raise the duration to 45 mins? I think before experimenting, mine comes out to around 38 mins or so. I would think it would take 4-5 points to get it up to 45 mins.
Also can anyone tell me how much the fill drops per experiement point? (a close guess would be fine since it matters on base quality)
Thank you all

Math lite version:
Assuming you get a "Great success" each point in Flavor adds 2m6s to duration. So if you're starting at 38m, you should be able to hit 45m with 3-4 experimentation points.
Each point in Filling subtracts about 1.5 from the filling. Since the filling is always displayed as a whole number, sometimes it decreases by 1, sometimes by 2.
Math heavy version:
Each food has a minimum and maximum for it's stats, the minimum at 0% in the appropriate category, the max at 100%. As far as I've been able to determine, the stats scale linearly relative to the experimental percentage:
Stat = StatMin + (StatMax - StatMin) * Percentage / 100
A great success increases the experimental percentage +7% for each point spent. So if you start at 15% in Nutrition category, and spend three points, a great success will give you 15 + 3 * 7 = 36% Nutrition.
The expected increase per point spent (assuming great success) is:
PerPointIncrease = ( StatMax - StatMin ) * 7 / 100
If you're using an additive that affects the stat you're working with, adjust the calculation like this:
PerPointIncrease = ( StatMax - StatMin ) * (1 + AdditiveBonus/100) * 7 / 100
I've tried to determine StatMax and StatMin for most of the foods by comparing the stat values at various experimental percentages and working backwards. Those are the values included on my food chart. Although I'm pretty sure at least a few are still a little inaccurate, especially for values that are affected by rounding like filling and quantity.

IMO 45 minutes isn't critical but 43+ really is. At 44 minutes and 49 filling its virtually the same as 45 minutes 50 filling. Some resources I've used start with a filling of 48 and therefore only 43 is actually critcal. I would still put more into duration if I had points left over. Just pointing out that in all cases 45+ minutes isn't required to have a constant buff.

so 43 mins is what you should shoot for? Not 45mins?
My last batch was +430, 41m30s, but im not sure if i shouldbump it up to 43 mins, and go lower nutrition or just keep it at +430, 41m30s?

I personally recommend hitting at least 43 minutes so that users will be able to have a constant buff. 1 point put into your duration would put you at about 43 minutes and 420+ nutrition,which will be better all-around.
