Cross post from Gorath--

I'm not sure what other Chefs are charging on this server, but I have seen up to 400k for a crate of BE enhanced VB on other servers. Tomorrow my first crates should be coming out of the factories and are going to be +410 mind/foc/will for 40 mins with 21 charges. I am going to price them at 350k a crate. Now, before everyone stars flaming, let me break it down.

A crate of 25 of this stuff will last 170+ hours when you take 2 at a time, double that if you only take one. That breaks down to roughly 2058 credits per hour of 820+ power buff. Compared to muon, going for the standard 10k per crate will run you 2500 per hour, not to mention the downtime from spices.

Right now there is a 5 min period where you will only be able to take 1 because stomach decay is bugged, but once fixed that will be 10 mins where you can have 4 doses running lol.

Thoughts?

Sounds fine to me, and I'm a customer, not a Chef.

Price your goods any way you want, either they will sell or they won't (but I'm betting yours will sell).

90% of the time people arguing about price are either fellowcrafters upset because you're charging less than they are, or customers being greedy. In either case, they're not trying to "save the economy" or follow any other idealistic philosophy, they want you to pander to their play style.

Screw that, do what you want, and have fun.

Yep, my brandy is 198 hours per crate, double-buffed. I only sell singles, 5-crates and 10-crates. I've found 2k per double-buffed hour to be a very reasonable amount to charge, as the customers can apply the buffs whenever they arrive at their mission, and get 8 straight hours of double-buff for 15k.

Edit: yes, I round the item price down to 15k.

Edit 2: I try to get my buff length at least to 44m30s, to minimize the downtime.

I am really not sure what to price mine. I always tell people that if I priced the food like muon is priced it would be around 210k per crate but this is not muon. Muon is typically 400per use x 25 in a crate while my brandy is 21 charges so it would be 400 x 25 x 21. I am sure I can sell for more than 210k and I need to because of all I have put into these past few weeks preparing. My brandy is 398 37minutes 49%filling and 21 charges. I dont wanna make people mad but at the same time I need to make a profit or chef isnt worth it.

Yesterday i sat around for hours working on prices for Brandy and various others. And your price is more than reasonable.

I do like the way you think! I spend a lot of time deciding what to charge for my various foods; that's the fun part for me. I very rarely base my prices on what other chefs are charging. I do check the boards and stuff to get a feel for what others are doing, but in the end it's just a game. Do what's fun for you!

hmm blimey ok, well i've been selling mine for 120k a crate of 25. This is half due to the low economy of chimaera, also my stats are only:

+382, 39 mins, 50 filling

Is that price too cheap?

I'm a Rifleman/Ranger now...

I was harvesting for a Chef last night.

He gave me some of this stuff...

2 drops lasted me over 2 hours......I don't know what the stats were....I had 900mind/1100 focus/1000 willpower...

Strafe2 and Headshot3 with a stocked T21 were doing single-digit mind costs on me.

I could have made a cycle_targe_outward; strafe2; macro...and just run around and killed everything.

Hmm inflated prices

Was hoping chef suppliments wouldn't go like tailor tissues and be based on the what people to pay rather than a reasonable profit. If chefs start charging loads, BE's will, and prices will remain high. Greed

While I'm sure you already know this there are quite a few differences from Moon.

1) you need to be Master Chef. The experimentation points matter

2) Your Brandy takes 7 factory runs compared to 1.

3) Your incrediants actually matter.

Just because of those reasons I think it is at least worth more. How much more depends on you. I agree with some of the people here that base BE Brandy with 18 charges should start around 300k a crate with all the work invloved. It goes up from there, how much is up to you.

*laugh* chefs should charge 5 times that for putting up with the "deals" BEs are being kind enough to "allow" us to have. Dont even attempt to put all the blame for these inflated prices on the chefs.
