Thread: as a master chef who has worked very hard to build up his inventory
I think it's safe to say that schef will still be a good prof. People will still want to get that edge on other people and thats where foods come in.

My god man... be honest. The devs are planning on screwing us. I have over 2000 full crates of food/drink on my vendors. They will all be worth ZILCH after the CU.
The conversion rates are terrible. If the CU went into effect today you would find more people leaving SWG than when WoW was released.
Sure hope the devs do something about the conversion rate because as it stands now, I will have no reason to continue paying swg after they screwed me out of millions of credits worth of vendor stock.
All that is asked of you my friend is to be honest. Take a look around and you will see that we are getting screwed royally, just like we got screwed after Chef revamp.
I suppose your going to try to say we didn't get screwed with regards to our current stock when chef revamp took?
Too all chefs that think they should hold on to their stock, DUMP IT NOW. REPRICE it super cheap or you are going to lose it all!

Well, to be fair, after the chef revamp all the old food stayed the same. The reason we got "screwed" (as you put it) was that the new schematics were undeniably better (with the possible exception of Tatooine sunburn, which was overpowered for it's level anyway). Well, that and some filling digestion changes, so that high-filling foods from pre-revamp remained high filling, but took longer to digest than it did before.

I'm willing to bet your sales won't change much. If anything, they'll go up a little at first with all the combat guys wanted to test new stats.
I didn't say we'd be perfect...all I said was that there would still be a need. As a matter of fact, until I get some good testing done..as I said, i'm not sure if i'm happy or not. I will not say we're being screwed until I see it..which I haven't

The curb has been talked about constantly and you took a gamble of holding 2000+ crates of food and drink on your vendor. You could have sold all your stuff for less to make some creds at the very least instead of having useless stock now. You took a risk and it didn't work out.As any good crafter, we just need to find out what the good stuff will be and try to get rid of the old stock. I would consider either selling your stuff cheaply now before the curb hits and pass out some of the rest to others so you can be more well known when the new foods are out and about.
LMAO
I don't even think you know what you are saying... but thanks for agreeing with me 100%.

From my brief look at converted foods (TC-Chilastra was barely up long enough for me to glance at anything), it appears that the food conversion is being done on a straight experimentation basis. If you experimented to 20% filling / 50% duration / 70% nutrition / 20% quantity with a +87 BSN, the converted food was identical to newly crafted food with that same experimentation and tissue. So any complaints should focus on the post-CU food stats, since those are the ranges that are being converted into.Well, to be fair, after the chef revamp all the old food stayed the same. I'm pretty sure you were not a chef before revamp. The reason we all got screwed was becuas the filling on all older foods was shot up through thte roof making it absolutly useless, not any of the jibbersh you have said here.

Well sir, I would suggest you get your testing done if you are going to be a leader in this forum. Others have tested and posted their results. The coversion rate (if not fixed) is once again going to screw all of us that have worked very hard to make sure that our customers always have what they need on our vendors.
Unlike one of the other chefs that tried to comment on this thread, keeping a large stock of foods ensures repeat customers, basic supply and demand. He must be from Russia or China not to understand this. Anyway, the New Game that will be created out of the CU will once again screw all the old timer chefs, if the current rate stays in effect.
Thanks, your loyal customer base appreciates it!

Hahaha, are you kidding me? A guildie came back to SWG and asked us "where is a good place to get fishank and corillian ice cream?" After laughing at him, we introduced him to the wonder that is brandy. We then told him about synth steak and thak. Ya, chefs really got the shaft in the chef revamp. Pshhhh.
You are comparing apples to lead bolts.
The issue at hand is current food stock. We got screwedat Chef revamp with the thencurrent food stock and we are getting screwed now with current food stock.
To your point, a totally seperate one, I agree 100%. The Chef revamp gave the Chef profession a much more important role in SWG, there can be no doubt about that.
But, once again, we are not disussing your point here. Thanks for you feedback though on a different thread somewhere.
