Thread: Curious any elses sales decreased?
I haven't seen a drop in business yet even though I sent out a message to all my customers warning them not to stock up and to use everything up prior to the patch, as well as, labelling all foods with the disclaimer that they must be used prior to publish #6. Everyone I talked to told me that they go thru it so fast that its not a big deal. Yet.
Im currently planning to produce over the next couple of weeks. Beyond that, i will have to play it by ear. I expect that closer to the time the patch is imminent, business will drop off dramatically. I'm preparing myself to buy back stuff, if necessary, to keep my customers happy, even though i shouldn't have to since im giving them fair and ample warning.

I plan to make some of every recepie possible and give out free samples asking only that people report back to me thier thoughts of the new foods, whether they liked it, would use it, etc.
My long term plans will be based alot on these customers oppinions. I am a chef because i love helping people enjoy the game more by providing them with useful buffs. I love being a chef. I make decent money doing that and thats been great, but i could make more money with less work just collecting resources.In other words, the money isn't why i do it.I won't stay in business trying to push garbage on people. If after the free trial and testing period is over my best customers tell me its **edit** and they don't need me anymore, I will close my doors and go become a doctor or something else useful. That would be a tragedy.

Nope thats not it.
My sales stoped once word of the revamp came out - no mind buffs, no fishak, no nothing good.

Im retired from chef as of reading these forums today - I will wait for the revamp, laugh about it, and not make nodda. I have read nothing but people getting mad about it, and not wanting it. Why do it then? Why do something that will cause most chefs to quit? It doesnt make sense to me..

Business has been pretty much the same...I've seen no drop in sales and if anything, there's been a small increase of late. Since I've been somewhat out of the loop, I am just now getting the information to forewarn people regarding potential issues in the revamp.
I guess I'll be uncrating everything the day before the revamp. LOL I could say something nasty, but why...it falls on deaf ears and won't change a thing...although I cannot imagine SOE is so incompetent that they would intentionally pass profession breaking bug like destroying pre-patch crates through.

I was hear for ALL the nasty chef bugs...I was also here when SOE nerfed monks the first, second, third...well you get the idea...I was here when they changed the official EQ boards from a free exhange for discussion like we had here before the recent changes...II was even here before Sony (although it wwas Sony Entertainment, forerunner to SOE) bent retailers over the counter by cutting offcredit for defective playstations and games...hell...I was even around when Sony quit making their own VCRs...hehe
haha yea...Ive been through all that too. And btw, Im from emarr also *laugh* Keep wondering how long it will be before they totally close these boards as well.

I spole a little to soon - my vendor was almost cleaned out.. Still have some fishak etc on there.. So, it is normal sales still - BUT, I am not restocking it.. And people go through fishak grinding prof. like its water.. Especially ID, as it will counter the Muon downer enough that you done loose all mind..
Oh well - still.. I am playing another character I have, and enjoying it - until the nerf him too.. =/
