Thread: This is unreal...never thought that THIS would happen part#2
I could honestly give a rats (you know what), in what the smugglers start screaming. The fact that they are getting a well deserved bonus on this Imperial Crackdown should be enough to keep them quiet for a few weeks. If they are all concerned to the fact that our "legal" buffs are going to out do their "illegal" buffs, oh well. Life sucks, get over it. Chefs are taking a big hit ingeneral with what we could actually do compared to Muon Gold, when it came to Mind Buffs. Ya ya, Vaserian Brandy, blah blah. Give us a break, we have to have atleast a few things in our schematics that is just something to drool over.
Smugglers already have alot of benefits with slicing weapons and armor, so what, they think their buffs (drugs) need to give someone a better buff then real foods? If we want to get technical, how about the devs do increase the buff of muon and neutron and for a downer, instead of puking and dragging the stats down to nothing, your butt gets incapped and on a 5min timer and if you take it again after that it adds an additional 5min on the incap time. Hell, how about if you do it 4 consecutive times, the toon has a chance of getting slained because he OD'd. Best to keep their mouth shut or they may not like what the devs come up with. ![]()

Oh please. Before you start another smuggler hate thread, get your facts in order. I challenge you to go to the smuggler board right now and go count up all the nerf the chef threads that you find there. I doubt you will find a single one and if you do, it won't have many posts on it. There may have been a couple smugglers coming over to these boards but I can assure you that smugglers as a communtiy have better things to talk about at the moment than nerfing another profession (like the Imperial crackdown, smuggler revamp, possible slice and spice experimentation).
Please point me to the huge outcry by smugglers to nerf the chef. I have been reading both boards lately and I totally missed it.
*laugh* another smuggler hate thread? Yea, one can tell you really have been reading the chef board frequently. Perhaps you should *read* the chef board instead skimming it and you might get an idea about the smugglers coming here and whining.

We have waited for 4 months to get something descent and when we finally do another non crafting profession starts crying nerf. I agree with everything in the first post.
I don't think that smugglers have anything to complain about, the can still slice armor and weapons. When we finally get something that can compete with Muon Gold all the smugglers start crying nerf.
Vesarian Brandy is harder to make then Spice.
- Muon takes 15 metal, 15 radioactive and 15 water of any quality or kind cause the final buffs are all the same.
- Vesarian Brandy takes 70+ resources, including2 alcohol components and a container(+80 to 100 extra resources if you want a BE addative), with ingredient statisticsaffecting the final buff stats. To make a large run of Brandy takes 3 factory runs including the Brandy. A crate of Brandy (without BE addatives) will cost 4 times as much as a crate of Muon.
So basically we have to collect specific ingredients, do larger factory runs, experiment on the productand we get slapped with a lower buff than spice cause a few smugglers complained. All we do is make buffs, it is what our profession is suppose to be good at. Smugglers can at least smuggle, slice weapons, armor and terminals, now they want to be able to buff higher than us too. People who use Muon and Food don't care which buff is higher, they just want the buff.
That being said I think that Muon Gold is too powerful and it should be nerfed.
Consitering the generalized materials that go into it and the general lack of crafting effort required I think the buff is too high and should be reduced.
Remember kids, Just say no to spice.

I've gone the smuggler route and the chef route. Any smart player isn't going to compare the two, but rather greedily snatch BOTH spice and food up and use them wisely, complementarily. Sure, smugglers could use more types of spices, but most realize how much time/resources they save by not having experimentation - that's why the smugglers almost unilaterally oppose adding experimentation to spices (more work for no more profit).

Nikki,
So how many smugglers are we talking about anyway that come to these boards and cry nerf? I bet it isn't many and I don't think that they represent the views of the smuggler community. The original poster labeled a whole class based on the actions of a few when he said,"it really takes alot of nerve for a class such as smuggler to come into our boards and cry NERF THE CHEFS". Notice that he said "a class such as smugglers" and not "some smugglers". Since he decided to represent my profession in such a way (and you apparently agree with him), I would like to see the evidence of the smuggler community(not a few random members)calling for the nerf of the chef. Evidently, there must be post after post on the smuggler boards that I missed while I was busy "skimming them" and not actually reading them.
Threads like this one only lead to more bad feelings between the professions. Smugglers as a community don't have anything against chefs and are more concerned with getting their own profession fixed rather than nerfing someone else's. Don't believe me, take a look on the smuggler boards sometime.
Just leave our boards, okay? You really have no business here if what you say above is true. Go back to your smuggler boards and take the rest of the trolls with you.
