Last night we placed and decorated the River's Edge Cantina, which is located in the village of Sigil on Dantooine. (Flurry Galaxy)

I'm a merchent and I love the tents.

I am also a merchant and I like the tents better than the cantinas!

Bah. I'd rather have a cantina. Don't get me wrong, when I begin my financial barage on Intrepid I"m going to make full use of tents, and the fact that I'm gonna have to make a Chef use his lots to my full advantage. But yeah, I was dissappointed we got little tents instead of cantinas, or cool looking shops. Or counter tops. Or a bazillion other things.

I like both I worry about the viability of cantinas at this point. for the most part, most of the player cantinas in the past have not really been used much. I really dont want to spend 5 lots for something that will do no business. I guess I want to see how much things get really used once shuttles are in and once the new "cool" factor wears off. I have however set up 2 tents as they are cheap and only use one lot so i actually gained 1 lot back from placing one for my dant shop.

And I dunno about you alls server but on my server no one thinks a chef can place a cantina...everyone is looking for dancers and musicians and they think Im some kind doofball when I mention chefs...well thats not what sony said..etc etc. Id just like to thank sony for making a dream of mine come true by allowing us to have cantinas...and then whopping us upside the head with it by telling everyone that we cant. Apparantly we still arent even listed in the player city faq as being able to place them. Drinks in a cantina...wow that was a giant leap /boggle. SO, who did they make that announcement to anyway? Just SV? If I didnt read the forums, I wouldnt even know we could.

A handsome establishment you have... I like the protocol droid at the Naglaron, was that your placement or a clever comes-with? I'm inclined to think the former.

Well Player cantinas have the added benefit over the old "My house is a cantina" because obviously they can actually ACT like a cantina, AND they'll be in places where there AREN'T cantinas. So I imagine they should do alright. They'll be as prosperous as the city itself, if not slightly moreso.
