I'm nota chef, but I could tell you about my tailor sales, lol..
Ever since JtL came out, my sales dropped a LOT.
I wonder if JtL has affected the sales of the other crafter's professions.

I would say alot....kinda strolling thru other crafters boards as well since I am at work and it seems alot of crafters say the same thing.

Mine dropped about 50% in the last 7-8 days. Although for some reason yesterday I was back up over my previous average. My sales are tracked daily using merchant friend.
The one big difference I have seen is a lack of larger quantity sales. With the exception of yesterday I don't believe I have had anyone buy more than 3 crates on a visit in the past week. I don't have a huge issue with this, it just appears that sales are a lot more spread out now by players and by items.

I made all between 200k - 2m per day on only 2 different food crates, i'd say 1 mill per day avarage, with a little advertising.
I dropped chef now, but i still had a couple of crates left when jtl came out, it dropped to 0-400k avarage per day in stead of 1 mill.
And all my other business dropped aswell, mostly the lootkits id say, adhesives, parts, and completed ones.
Made about 1.5-6 mill per day on those aswell, now they are very slow, prices on the lootkit dropped ALOT! just over one day, not sure why, but it could be JTL also i guess? For what ive seen the drops on lootkit stuff got reduced? prices should if anything get higher on then.
One thing is for sure, JTL IS BAD FOR BUSSINESSMEN!
But i say business should be balanced soon enough again.

My guess is that we're in a bit of a recession while JTL is the "new thing", but it'll likely bounce back. From what I've seen, I don't think a player can finance things like ship repairs and upgrades doing just space missions. JTL has the makings of a pretty big money sink (repairs and chassis construction remove credits from the game completely), as well as spreading credits between players (shipwrights, obviously, but also players selling looted components to each other).
Eventually, I think people are going to start coming back to ground, especially for big-profit missions. That means they'll need buffs again, and I think food sales will pick up.

Thats the hope for sure. But with a new environment to play in the bulk of their time (space) in which we offer nothing in the end we are hurt as a craft. Even after the dust does settle a % of the player base will stay in space. And most players have TONS of money from solo group missons over the past year.
Enough money a matter of fact to sustain their ship play for a very very very long time. Not integrating the existing crafts with the new expansion was a bad idea.

Too be honest, If anyone who is playing this game wanted to play a Flight Sim, they would have bought one. They bought a MMORPG so I think most people will continue to play the ground game.
I certainly have no intention of buying JTL.
