Thread: Another Niche Market....STOLEN FROM CHEFS
Um...I can't heal mind. I can make the mind regen higher with a willpower buff, but if I was upset about the CM mind heal, I'd probably be a doctor.
I don't see this affecting us much.
Because we are (were) the only profession that could heal mind. Every try an angerian fishak plus a couple bivoli tempari? That's an instant 1200 point mind heal.
And people think Chefs are worthless..
Regards,
Shadrach
Yep, that's right. What started with Master Dancer and Musician buffing has now been extended. The chefs are being pushed even further Out Of The Way(tm).
With the new patch, Combat Medics gain a /healMind ability. For the cost of a few piddling focus and willpower wounds, a Combat Medic can heal Mind damage.
/sigh.

LOL one of my CM customers just cleaned me out of focus and willpower items...hehe I think I know what he has in mind (no pun intended).
lol that was terrible...
The market for chef mind/focus/willpower buffs may be narrow, but it's still there. Doctors & Combat Medics still want it and perhaps now more than ever.
/agree Saitek
that was a terrible pun rofl it was great ![]()
RE: markets
Don't forget the armor buff market! Ok doctors do it *better* but unless you have a pet doctor following you in the field Ryschcate/Vegehash are your friends ![]()
I was very happy the other day when a customer announced in my store: "awesome I've never been able to get my full suit of composite on before!" *tears up* it's the little things...
You can relax, Brullig, the people who bother to buy food are the players who will use every possible advantage, (me) so what we're doing is getting musician / dancer buffs, then getting health buffs, and then eating as much food as our extended bellies can hold, and possibly on top of that, spice.
This game is 10x better with food. As Bounty Hunter I'm not around the cities where I can get buffed easily or quickly and time is always against the BH. But now that I can safely drink a breath of heaven and 2 ryshcates I can spam carbine specials non-stop while in full comp armor and hardly take ham costs. A stim-b use that costs -97 mind points while I'm armored costs -13 with my two ryshcate one BOH combo. And since I can't carry a Twi' Twi' go-go dancer in my backpack, I will always be carrying food.
Oh and BTW, I have that combo in a macro now. /ui action toolPane03;/ui action toolSlot01;/pause 2;/ui action toolSlot01;/pause 2;/ui action toolSlot02;/ui action toolPane01;/
This feeds me quick just before I go into combat with one-click, send it to your customers!

Ooo, that reminded me of something I wanted to try with the entertainer buffs, but didn't because of the bug.
The entertainer buffs are percentage based. So a master Dancer doubles your mind pool (+100%). What if you ate a Bivoli just before stopping watching? Would the 100% increase look at your normal or the buffed value? And if it looks at the buffed value, what happens when the food wears off?

This is a trick good PvP'ers are using. I guess you've been working in the kitchen a lot, but soon after entertainer buffs arrived people starting getting 6k ham bars. So actually, entertainers and food and spice work together. If you do bivoli, muon consume before you /stopwatch you will get a huge mind. Mind at 1000, two bivol mind at 1500. Muon gold mind at 2500. /Stopwatch, mind at 5000. Food and spice wear off, mind still at 3500. If you are a TKA you can throw powerboost in there too.
