Thread: New proposed Merchant changes.. Discussion on the effects to chefs.
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Developers&message.id=18573
This is a link to the discussion about raising the bazaar price limit to 6k instead of the current 3k. (this i dont have a problem with as i hardly ever use the bazaar)
BUT they are also saying that they might drop the limit of items you can carry on a vendor to 150 items. Currently you can put as many things on there as you want. And putting a limit on it i can see but 150? good lord! Id have to stand next to my vendor and constantly feed Fishak into it as it sold off.
That or have 2 or 3 vendors in my cantina. I've got the merchant skills to make it work ok and i wouldnt be to hard pressed to keep the status quo with 2 vendors, but what a pain! And what about those poor chefs with only bus 3 and only one vendor.
And everyone thought empty vendors was a problem before.
What do you all think? how will it effect you?
It's not 150 items listed, it's an actual 150 items (so a crate of 25 items = 25 items per crate). So you could only have 6 crates of 25 (or 3 crates of 50 items) on a vendor from what I have read.
hrmm lesee...I run 4 shops. When I have low inventory each vendor has about 150 items. When I stock they each have about 300 items.
So far today Ive logged in my ch to find that I couldnt use my mount or my hunting pet..which I know werent made of bugged DNA as I made them(third time my pets have been taken and Ive been left with level 1 babies to fight with),I find out we get to now run even more factory runs than we already were and now we are expected to babysit vendors all the time. This change would mean I would have to close my shops except one maybe 2 on the same planet. So my question is, when do I get my paycheck? When I said I felt like I was running mcdonalds...I didnt mean working the drive thru window.
This is a load of crap. I am VERY rapidly reaching the level of frustration I had when email was broken. It took me 4 months to get my husband willing to play again and now hes gonna come back to this crap. He'll probably never play again.

actually nikii...heres a thought for you...put multiple crates into a bag...1 bag = 1 item but perhaps 2-3 crates (1 fishak, 1 ryshcate, 1 BoH)...call it whatever you want, but put up a sign indicating what is in what bag...since you like mcdonald's
anyway I think this idea would be great for merchants...there isn't all that much point in being able to have 7 vendors when all you want to do is have 1 shop...this way theres more incentive for getting to master merchant. 7 vendors * 150 items per vendor = 1050 items for a master merchant...at least I think master merchants get 7 vendors....versus now where business 3 = unlimited items on your 1 vendor.
I vote we change nikii's sig to "welcome to nikii's...would you like fries with that"
I've already sounded off there.. this i an absolute outrage.
This is not a flame - just noting something that I find really irritating on these boards (and internet discussion in general). This is not an _outrage_. Genocide is an outrage, corporate corruption is an outrage. This is possibly a mistake: a mistake in a videogame costing users the equivalentof 3 chicken nugget value meals per month.
I really find the depth of people's anger about little mistakes in this game ... baffling.
Go for a walk, get some air, find someone to love, get a sense of scale - big things, little things.

I appreciate your concern for my wellbeing, but I get upset at my own pace.
As far as it goes for incompetant designers making a messed up game even less enjoyable, AND their having the gall to charge me so much to play it.... I'll get upset about that, and enjoy doing it.
Thank you. ![]()
Ugh now Thunderheart is taking player advice in the SWG forums instead of the Merchant forums where he should be doing it.
A play suggested that the cap should increase with each level of merchant so like 150 for bus 3 200 bus 4....etc etc. which Hey great idea,
But here is where i KNOW good and well none of the devs have played a serious crafter and KNOW thunderheart has no clue whatsoever when it comes to crafters or merchant. (well he's said on many occations that he's a combat person and doesnt like crafing or understand it at all)
Thunderheart comes back and says Yeah! thats a great idea. Im going to really push for that! Oh and by the way i talk to the guys and they said they can code it like that but you would have to make a new vendor every time you upgraded to a new cap. Hey thats no big deal right! great idea!
UGH! can you imagine having to take EVERYTHING off of your vendor every time you got a new box in Merchant? I keep over 15 differnt food and drink selections with up to 350 crates at a time on my vendor. My house is already full, my Cantina is already full, my inventory only has room for about 30 items usually, my bank is full. Where the hell am i suppose to put all this stuff! arrrgh!
(that kind of turned into a general rant there sorry. oh well, my dime.)
