Thread: Changes one of the old guys would like to see
Few rambling points of my own. Chances are they have little to do with chef, but you get to put up with me nonetheless.
I think we also need more ways of reducing the negative time sinks with respect to crafting. Adding a vendor restock button, removing the 30 day dropoff limits, or adding an option to highlight multiple items or crates would definitely be a bonus.
Bring back the whole agro dropping when you enter houses. This is just annoying.
The devs speaking of NPC AI, when they really need to have a look at creature AI. I lost count of how many times I will see two different creature mobs close to each other if not right ontop, one agro mob and one non-agro, and they aren't attacking each other. Do voritors only eat chefs and not pikets?

Here is the thing I have most wanted and it seems fitting with the timeline of the game and the technology that would be available. That is, remote control of our harvestors, and factories too, although I mainly want it for harvs dropped on distant planets. What I would want:
At a bare minumum:
1) Ability to see the status window (is it in need or power or maintentance)
2) Ability to see if the hopper is full and in need of emptying
3) Ability to see if it is still haversting (is the spawn still active)
Bonus Abilities:
4) Ability to pay maintenance
5) Ability to deposit power
6) Ability to empty hopper
7) Ability to switch current resouce setting
I don't expect to be able to have it move itself to a high concentration of my desired spawn, but hey, if they want to add that, then go for it lol.
Just think how much time this would save us crafters :-)
Oh, and how about making the survey probes worthwhile by having them not only report the current resources on a given planet, but also the stats. Again, huge time saver and www.swgcraft.com would always be up to date (yahoo!). Also, how about increasing our survey range or have a food that will boost it to like 1000m. Again, all of these are about saving time doing the mondane stuff so as to allow usmore time to have fun (flying in space of doing quest, etc).
and personally fo me i REALLY want a drag and drop a selection feature. Moving crates 1 at a time is fooking stoopid.

It makes no sense at all why all the chefs in the ENTIRE galaxy cannot learn how to make things like Mushroom Pie, ect. Please add a new dish/drink or two yup
6) Group food
Group leader offers the food to their group and they all receive a bonus when eaten. Lets face it enjoying a good meal with your friends/family is a good source of motivation and relaxation. There would be a minimum requirement like 4 players to use this. not really bothered. will just detract fom other foods.
7) A food multiplier like casks are for drinks.
This has been needed for a long time no way jose less to sell!
8) Durations looked at in chef food/drink.
After the CU durations were changed but not their balancing factor: filling aye
9) Seafood
Give us a new dish that requires the use of fish meat, ect only if they make it realistic to get fish etc
10) Artisan food evaluated again.
There is just no way a piece of candy should be rivaling any of my Master Chef foods. If I were king for a day I would just remove the ability to add a BE tissue to their schematic. aye

I think this ranks with banning the use of advanced components from most medical and weapon crafting. If the filling of Chef items were to be revised in line with the duration, things would be back in balance.

Yes to a degree. Although its the durations that need to be increased in all reality.

Yes, there are way too many items, otherwise worthwile, with durations measured in seconds!
