I have thought of a great idea for drinks that will be the best thing since sliced bread
What if master chefs received a recipe to make a drink that temporarily improves your mind condition enough to add a multiplier to your experience? Similar to the practice mode for crafting, but this would work for any type of experience.
Combat peeps would love it for gaining exp faster and crafters would love a little boost during those long grind sessions.
modifier and duration could be experimented to improve potential... Any thoughts?

I think it's a good idea. So do the devs. In fact they've just implemented it! Look for the effects of ORMACHEK if you can bear to search through all the posts!
Who says they don't work fast! ![]()

maybe Im overly picky but I dont see 4% as being worth it... Take for example the infamous wastril grind...would you actually go buy food to get an extra 2 exp? I guess it might be worth it for some of the combat types that get exp in larget chunks but for crafters/entertainers...I dont think 4% is going to be worth the trouble of seeking a chef and buying. I could be wrong but thats my view on it at this point..

I could be wrong but was it SirVimes that posted the Ormachek results? And didnt he use really low OQ ingredients? Or am I confusing it with something else?

I believe that was the one that someone commented on they tried several things and couldnt raise it from 4%.

Well - great minds think alike
And who says the devs dont have quick response to ideas !!!
Anyway, it bumps 4 % on experience... Is that for one event or for some period of time?

It's for the next 15 or 16 items crafted. The experimentation was really slow to go up on the "duration", apparently, so it'll probably always be one of those two.

charges are always 1, modifier is always 4%....so being a good chef or using good ingredients matters not a bit. The only difference a good chef will get you is 1 more time of 2 exp. Excellent work on this one /sarcasm off.

And add to that it has 80-81 filling. So you have a 4% bonus on 15-16 events each hour. I like how the devs tried to put some useful stats and tried to think on some odd ones but some just don't seem to have been thought out enough.
I think a lot of the problems with peoples expectation come from comparisons with other buffs. I see next to no reason to use any of the mind buffs that I have seen, but I will still use Moon gold. I guess the new combat system might change the need but then take makes the one decent spice smugglers make worthless. It still always comes back to doctor buffs that last for 3+ hours and are on the 2.5-3k range. Again maybe the new combat system will change the need for this, but if it does, then all stat buffs have just been made useless so why even have them there?

4% bonus for 16 rounds of exp and nothing else to eat for an hour? Most of the Jedis I know want stat buffs. Fighting unbuffed for an hour to gain 16 roundsof 4% exp doesnt really sound like much of a deal. With good buffs, they could fight much faster with less down time to more than make up that miniscule amount of exp gain.

Hmm... I personally thought doctor and musician buffs were more popular for that! But no worries anyway, I don't think Ormachek will be hard to sell.
Well, let's hope so.
