When people used to be Chef's for the 'love of it'....

Now I find people are in it for money are most are not intersted in helping me figure out which foods/drinks I need... nor do they seem to want to tell me what stats are important on their components...

I'm a BH, and a Ranger...

I tend to collect stuff for my friends, but in my foray to make money with out having to deal with BH bugs... I wanted to sell some meat (or other harvested components) to the chefs (as they seem to be flush with money all of a sudden).. what do I find? Less help for MY purchases... NOT willing to trade... and paying LESS for components...

Man.. has there been an influx of new chef's or is there some money lust going on these days?

FYI.. I often 'custom hunt' components for chefs (heck all trade professions) where I will go out and find the best avail stuff for them.. or go get their 'rare' components.. and I would rather trade than get paid.. but heck I can't sell GOOD meat for more than 2c per anymore...

If you are on Sunrunner, shoot me a tell/email. I am having a hard time getting people to harvest and sell me meat/hides/milk. I also like trading my products for your hard work. Trade has worked since the dawn of man and it has been the 'intelligent' generations that muck it up.

Ah so I am just on the wrong server... I'm on chillie...

I love to barter... that's how I got all of my weapons/clothes/droids/ and armor... I only pay (well tip) for Dancers/singers and docs...

I figure if I bring you enough stuff for 100 of an item.. you can spare 5 for me...

Bah... can you tell me what stats you guys need for the best stuff...

Also tell me what KIND of hides/milk/meat you guys need/use.... thanks

the other day, I had somebody come up to me saying he needed food for a party in an hour. All I had made was synthsteak. He didn't have the money for what I charge for synthsteak and I didn't have the components to make anything else in large quantities in a short amount of time. So we ended up that I gave him a crate of synthsteak (he only asked for 20 anyway) and in return gave me enough hide to make 2 crates. That was a fun deal.

Oh....and youtrade meat all right.

And my answer to you is yes.

Milk – Any (doesn’t matter)

Meats – Any. Some that are specifically called for – Insect meat, herbivore meat, carnivore meat, reptilian meat, domesticated meat, wild meat.

Hides – Any. Some that are specifically called for – Leathery hide, scaley hide, wooly hide, bristly hide,

But basically we can use anything you can bring us, alright.

LOL.. no problem on any of those...

what do you guys care about PE, OQ, Flavor? I think?

Also do you need ENDORIAN WILD MEAT.. or anything that specific (I know other trades do)

OH and you need to get a character on Chillie.. or I will post a link to where all these people can see you wearing a Sam. Jack T-Shirt

I was in it for the love of it... I had it as a holocron profession and I kept it longer than any other profession I've had. I helped people all the time and let them sample many different foods. I wanted to go chef again after I opened my fscs and got to 4440 but now I'm trying to figure out how to grind out the last 4 skill boxes. I have a thread just posted.. please help me out. Nothing that specific. I know I am hoping to get domestic meat in large quantities. (Man, I cannot have a normal conversation with you, Blue, without blushing anymore! **edit**!) We need this for Bio Engineer additives.

But as far as hide and meat, nothing that specific. We do need corellian domestic wheat and tatooine fruit, tubers and berries, but that is about it.

The only problem I forsee...is that chefs sell consumables. You eat food, it is gone. You do not keep it around for a while like clothing or armor. Since it does not last as long, people are more reluctant to pay high prices per resource than they are for a gun or clothing that will last them much longer. So if you sell your items for that much more per resource, that is what chefs will charge and people will be more reluctant to buy them.
