Thread: Good-bye to All a Master Carbineer for about a Month calls it quits.
I just have to say - I can't take it anymore - might as well go holo hunting because this class will never get fixed.
I'll tell you guys one thing - I was almost a master carbineer - but decided to go bh carbines as well, and it was well worth it. This is the best PvP profession, you can't expect to beat people who dabble in other professions if you don't dabble yourself - This is why it sux literally - you have to actually use all your skill points except 15 - which is just a novice of something - medic usually. As I have stated - to be a True master of the carbine - You need to go into BH carbines.
I've been a carbineer from start - I've hung in for approxitmately 4 months now hoping for fix and it hasn't come. To all how are going to hang in there - I say good luck and I'll be hoping you guys get fixed soon.

Why do people feel the need to post such stupid things as this? I certainly care, it means that carbineer sucks ass so much that we lose people who have been here since the beginning.
I can feel your frustration at our broken class, and i am sad to see you go. another /salute from me as well. Hehe, i feel that soon i wil be in your position, forced to go with BH carbines to do anything at all.
I expect to be following in you path in a week or two barring somthing big from Thunderheart. I have been master carbineer for months and actually thought i would just have to wait a bit more but at this point I really don't see the reason to anymore. looking at the probable timeline we may get fixes in feb or march of next year. That for me is just too long (9 months at that point to fix what should have been done at release).
It looks like i will be unlearning the proffesion and going CH to start and from there not sure.

It's still you buddy.
We care because we're a community, and what's worse, a community of underappreciated customers. We aren't insensitive to each other's frustrations. It's like a race of people being ignored, on a lesser scale of course. We fight the good fight for as long as we can stand it, but we're paying for the privelage of being broken, and it's silly. All the respect in the world to you for sticking it out as long as you had, my friend. Good luck in your search for new purpose.

You shoulda tried Master TKA + Master Carbineer if you really want to be a PvP god. You still have room for pharm 4 to use Stim-Ds and can have scout for terrain nego.
Carbine + BH carbine only gives you +15 against KD, nothing against dizzy, and nothing against stun. But the Carbine blocks against intimidation is good going into TKA, where you get incredible figures for D against Dizzy, Stun, and KD.
If you go BH Carbine with regular carbine you will have 14 skill points by the time you reach BH carbine 4. You're gimping yourself. You can fire very quickly but can be knocked down easily. Also BH has no defenses, as in zero, against any state effects or KDs. At master they get +7 ranged D, and in total they have +2 melee D. The value of a BH is total offense with 3 different weapons and believe me, any investigator BH is going to use Carbine first, LLC and pistol second.
Also BH gets no counterattack, block or dodge, and those mods are significant after the last patch.
If you go Master Carbineer + TKA master, Pharm 4 for stim D's and Scout for terrain Nego, you will be in good shape. You can't be KD'd or Dizzied from range, you can use a cut-down DH17 with a speed mod to use charge shot on escapees, then kick the snot out of them when you catch up to them by dropping the carbine and going unarmed hit + KD. Also TK can quite easily put dizzy on someone, so if they start running after you beat them dizzy, you use charge shot and they go plop.
TK Master also can rid themselves of disease, heal themselves, have center-of-balance or whatever to make it impossible to knockdown, and can powerboost.
So quit thinking 1 profession will rule all others! You need a good combo. If you take master marksman, master scout, master carbineer and BH investigator, you are gimping yourself quite badly.
