Thread: Special for our Master box?
/staggeringshot - we could get a shot that delays and posture downs. Put maybe a 5 second delay on the skill, to keep it from getting too powerful
/fullautosingle3 - this is a dream and likely a far fetched one, but just a higher damage version of /fullautosingle2, similar to /unarmedhit3, /polearmhit3, etc which are all master level skills.
/disablingshot - would it be possible to get a skill that causes a players equipped weapon to become unequipped? Not damaged or destroyed, just make it so they have to re-equip it
Personally I think we have more than enough Specials with a wide variety. I think some of the best ones should be moved to Master and others moved higher in the tree to reduce the dabblers.
If I am not mistaken, we have the highest number of specials already.
FullAutoSingle3/FullAutoArea3 - Same damage, wider cone of attack. Or, an increased probability of landing states.
SuppressionFire3 - AoE posture down attack.
However...
1) /fullAutoArea3 - An area attack that gives a longer duration stun/blind and a stonger dizzy. Something like the BH Carbine Scattershot/Confusion except an area attack.
2) /depletingShot, /exhaustionShot - In keeping with the "crowd control" aspect and and action-centric specials of our profession, this would be an AOE flame DOT that affects the Action bar of opponents simulating a shot that completely exhausts a targets physical energy. Similar to the BH /torsoShot. (Yeah I know I'm comparing BH a lot...but its a good comparison)
3) /crippleShot2 - A high-damage AOE attack that targets a random pool and has similarly long "reload" time.
In addition I'd really like to see the Elite Carbine buffed up a little..maybe make it Medium AP or swapping AP with the Laser Carbine and giving the Elite a different damage type...Stun...or Acid...something to make it stand out like the T21 does for Rifleman.
Riddle them with shots....no? I'll get my coat.
Barrage fire or something like that... Just an idea.
Our job is basically to provide covering fire while the tanks go in, and to let Pistoleers get close. We need something to pin people in place.
Here's looking forward to Publish 8 and the combat revamp!! (Croses fingers and hopes to have not jinxed it.)
Actually, I like that notion. Going with the 'Crowd Control' aspect of Carbineers, it'd be nice if we had some delay shot or warcry like shot that would 'disable' a player from moving (as in we targeting their arms or legs or draining their 'action' pool.)
