Thread: actionshot 2 tests

been trying to find out if the state-posture change is woring on this or not. This is what I have found. when used vs mobs and npcs it will not cause a change posture UNLESS they just recieved a sucessfull knockdown. IF they were kd I can apply actionshot 3-5 times in a row to keep them baiscly rooted in place.


PVP works like a charm had my buddy doing the one legged mexican hat dance all day long every time i landed a dizzy i would action shot him and he would drop to kneeling and then flop if he tried to stand.


Not sure why it will not work on mobs/npc's unless they have been kd. if anyone has some ideas I would like to hear them.

I get actionshot to work lots of times on mobs and npcs without a knockdown. As a CH I use posture down shots all the time when the critter targets me and not my pet. This way they will retarget on my pet. The same goes with melee NPCs who charge me. Ihardly everuse knockdown against NPCs and never against mobs so I don't know why it works for me and not you.

hum that is odd, out of nearly 5000 shots of action2 it has never worked for me unless I used a knockdown 1st anyone else have some more info on this for us?

i play a master carbineer and bh carbines 3 character on Test Center and ive been doing some playing around with the shots


so far action 2 for meHAS been wooking quite nicely against npcs both animal and humanoid.They stay down for a good 3-4 seconds normally and then get right back up. I have been able to keep them down for a bit longer by spamming it but only by a few more seconds. A few fullautoarea2's followed by an actionshot2 then chargeshot2 can keep entire squads of stormtroopers (lots of them and easier to test on than rebels ) on the groundwhile i pick off individuals

actionshot2 works quite well for me, i don't see any problems

I am not sure "quite well" is how I would put the extremely low to hit %, but I do land it without KD as well.

yep last night out on dantoo trying this some more vs quenkers. I managed to get them to stop dead in their tracks w/o a kd. With all the shots I tested this before I was surpised to see it suddenly start working last night. But I have been plagued with chat/trade/sound bugs since this game came out. who knows I'm about to give up trying to make rhyme or reason out of this game. thanks for the extra input guys

I thought we couldn't do more than one posture changing attack every 30 seconds!?

I recommend you start trying it. Not only to keep them off of you, but for the increased damage modifier while they are down. That's why I do it. I'm also a master fencer, so I have no problem if they get close to me, I just KD them for the added damage I can do to them. Well, that and the fact that it's so much fun lol.

We can use a KD every 30s, and a posture down every 30s. They are 2 types of attacks with 2 independent timers. That means, if you time it right, you can alternate those attacks and use one every 15s.

The posture downs do seem few and far between. I haven't noticed a difference on whether i do it before or after a KD though. I just think the posture down is a secondary effectto the skill so the chance isnt as high as the skill description would have you believe. It is an AoE Action Bleed with a chance to posture down, and not a AoE Posture Down with a chance to bleed.


Too badbleeds got a pretty big nerf, or this skill would be prettyuseful.
