I think the topic speaks for itself. I'm inches away from Mastering Carbineer (getting combat exp is a pain) and I'm hoping I'll be at the top of my game when it happens. It seems that the best I can solo as of now are Savage Quenkers on Dant. But I don't consider it soloing since I'm a Master Creature Handler. If I was to walk up to these of any other high level mission without the pets I know that I'll be on my back in 30 seconds or less. Can any of you tell me what you can solo with just your Carbine skills and just what you do to make it work? Any help or info will make me think that Carbineer is actually worth keeping. And trust me, as soon as i put this game on my computer this was the only profession I wanted to master.

I can travel all over the galaxy unbuffed... doing any deliver mission you can think of.... does that count?

being an Mdoc has it's rewards.... but serriously, I can't even recall. All I've been doing the past week is non-stop dath avian meat missions, up to almost 140k! WOOT! gonna hit my goal after all. 1k of each buff kit anyone?

Well as my sig shows, I too am a CH. When I could spam ChargeShot1 to hold the creature at bay, I could solo a mutant/enraged/gnarled/regular rancor without a pet. Of course that has changed now and I have really grown attached to all my pets.

With myself and my pet buffed I can easily handle a group of 4 mutant rancors in Rancor Valley. My pet (BE gurrcat at level 29)is about 12K health buffed with light armor and 60% kinetic resist and I have +25 Carbine Speed attachments in my armor along with a sweet Krayt DXR6. So I have about everything possible to be a solo Carbineer with a pet and typically land about 2k damage per second to a mutant rancor

The real problem I had was pulling missions near the end of mastering carbineer before I was very far along in CH.

I was able to solo a level 108 Graul Maulers mission (buffed, spiced)

w/ 2 pets (both are BE and light armor 9500 ham or so) and 4/4/3/3 in Carbine
it's getting the missions that are a problem.

Well once you hit a certain level, going higher does nothing. I once saw level 111 missions from a large group on Naboo that a Master Marksman took out solo with NO pets.

As far as dangerous animals go? Grassland Voritor Trackers, Seething Bol Crushers. These currently conred to me with two near fully grown thunes and at the time 1,0,3,2 Carbineer.

I use a pair of mid-level pets and Doc Buffs. My stats are migrated so I have 1100 Mind and 400 in the others before enhancement. I go for these because their poison attacks definitely keep the challenge level up, everything else I get at my level just feels pedestrian.

See, that was the question you didn't answer. I'm asking for just Carbine skills. Not buffs, CH, Doc skills or whatever other profession you climb. Just this one. If it's just you & your gun how far can you go? If you can do these 100+ missions please tell me how you do it. I'm just asking for faith in Carbine skills and nothing else. How far and how high can you go?

Dude, Carbineer by itself, well go take on some chubas and nightspiders Anything bigger and you need buffs or novice medic. Oh wait, you can mix in a nuna every once in awhile for variety

There is a reason you have extra skill points leftover after Master Carbineer.

You buff a pet the same way as people. The only catch is if you store the pet, not only does he lose the buff, but when you recall him, he takes the buff as if it were a spice downer.

Most profession aren't designed to stand alone. Without complimenting skills from other professions, you really won't pull stuff much tougher than meatlumps.
