That sounds pretty good.

Carbineer is great in GROUP PvP, but in SOLO PvP.....you might as well leave your Carbine at home

Well Adren. your best bet is the Full auto (single or area). These shots spew out alot of state effects including blind, stun and dizzy. The blind attack is the one every fencer wants, they will never hit you. Plus if you combo in a ranged posture change then you should be able to close for the real beating. With all this exceptional armour you wont to sh*t for damage with a carbine. Pve wise you wont out damage a rifleman, but you can keep most mobs at a distance. Nothing else better than dizzy knockdowning a 12 pack of stormtroopers. Also be warned, the HAM costs are outrageous.

Well dang, aren't we supposed to be learnin' these youngin' the art o' Carbineering?

It is one of the keys to success though. Its the edge that let me beat a buffed Commando with only food, spice and some Stim Cs.

I actually have this template (well, 4003 TKA and 2000 medic since I cap Ranged/Melee defense) and I love it. A fight basically starts with you at a distance spamming the FullAuto series at the speedcap (get a krayt weapon)until you land a dizzy, then posture down, chargeshot, and whack them with your baton/gaffi stick to death.

Rinse, and repeat. With a CoB macro running with Fencer, you'll hardly get hit. Carbines set up a target quite nicely for a Fencer kill.

I am a Master Fencer/Master Carbinner and novice medic (3-2-1-0). I totally enjoy this combo, I've taken on quite a few PvPers with these skills and I hold up pretty well. With my carbines alone I beat 3 Dark Force Jedis in my past. To beatthem I had to run around in circles for almost 10min and spam FAS/CRIPSHOT/CHARGESHOT but it worked! So what's my point? Not sure, just threw in my two cents.

Yep I'm one of these too, cept I'm Master Fencer, Master Carb, 4103 TKA.

Pvp wise my formula would be, keep them intimidated, wild shot 2 & 1 them, go for some full auto 2 blinds and dizzies, unless they're close enough for me to use my baton for blind and dizzy (since a blind rifleman at close range is pretty whimpy) then go with how I'm feeling as far as killing them with my stick or my gun....if they're immune to my pos down lunge, then i switch to carb for the KD or whatever you know.

I've had this template for some time now, and can honestly say I really like it. (If I didn't, I wouldn't still have it lol) Works good for PvP, and rules any mid to low level PvE. The only thing about it that urks me every now and then is the difficulty to kill high level PvE solo. By this, I don't mean I want to be able to go out and solo a Krayt or anything, but I would like to be able to go 1v1 on any humanoid NPC. I can kill all Nightsisters solo except for an Elder. The problem I allways run into is not being able to deal large damage amountsto them. As a fencer, I can stand toe to toe allmost indefinately with most NPCs and creatures, but if I have to start worrying about defense, my offense suffers greatly. Carbineer works good on NPCs if I can control their movement, i.e. KD, PC, dizzy, but if I can't control them and they close in, carbineer is useless as I have to revert to my fencer skills.

Fencer/Carbineers, do you actually deal any PvP damage with carbines or are you just using it for states before switching to stun baton?

I've dealt large damage before with my carbines, but it is usually only against unarmored opponents. I've used crippling shot for as high as 1600 pts of damage on an unarmored/KDed opponent. If they have stun armor, it usually means the energy resistance is not special, thus equal to the base resistance. From what I've seen, adding the stun layer to composite tends to keep the base down, limiting the likelyhood of hitting close to 90% base after a slice. If that's the case, I can usually use my Krayt Laser w/ AP2, 2.7 Spd, 87-436 Dmg (non-PU) for decent damage if they lack in ranged mitigation. I'm still trying to gather tissues to get an uber Elite made.

If my carbs don't seem to be getting the job done, then I choose one of two scenarios. The first is if they are a ranged attacker, I use my posture changes with my carbs to close in on them. The second if if they are melee, then I use my posture changes to kite. Sure I may not be doing a lot of damage to them, but I can slowly wear away at them while they are not touching me. Once they close the gap, they find out that I was just toying with them as I pull out the stun stick or gaffy stick and beat them senseless.

Bottom line... It all depends on the given situation. As Bruce Lee once said... "Be like water."

Wow, I didn't know so many Master fencer/ Master Carbs out there? I'm working for Carbineer atm.

Any suggestions for which guns to use in PvP. At first I thought I'd hate carbs and jsut wanted to try out another ranged so people would stop calling me fotm for being rifles/fencer, but now I'm starting to enjoy it more than any ranged proff. I found a fewDH17 2.9 112-226 on bazar and bought 6 for a good 20% dam slice and a 33% speed, At comparison to the Cdef carbine its a monster, do all the upper carbines have this quality? I guess I'm just asking which ones are best and how to make them uber.
