Thread: Dear Lord I feel For You Carbineers...

I was looking at all the combat proffesions earlier today and noticed something, Carbineer is the ONLY combat proffesion with no special in their master box... whats up with that? Plus theinsane HAM costs on carbines and extremely low speed ( in real life carbines are a cross of a Sub Machine Gun and Rifle, making it shoot extremely fast while still retaining good accuracy) this class should be one of the best but is instead at the bottom right next to squad leader and pikeman, I truly hope you all get fixed.

Please play a carbineer before making that statement, yes a master special would be nice, but I think overall the prof intimidates people, its not for the faint of heart, its not a spam one move to win prof, its a prof thats excellent for a group, or if you want, to land states on an opponent and move in for the kill(as i do) or die tryin. It is a pretty versatile prof, we lack a lil here and there, but were not this gimp useless thing that everyone should point at and say man i feel sorry for that guy, hes a carbineer. Im sorry to be offensive here, but i am a little offended by your statement.....

lets see, more damage than a pistoleer, our specials work, we can apply more than 2 kinds of states with our specials. The only real problem with carbines is lack of damage types.

Carbineer can be VERY strong, it just takes more money, time, effort, and THINKING to get it done. So basically if you invest enough you can beat the casual PvP'er and almost all PvE content.

Carbineer's weakness is there are a lot of other professions that can equal us with much less money and effort.....and of course there are some templates that a pure Carbineer can do NOTHING against. There are just some people that have the play style for Carbineer, but most don't so they suck at it.....

We also need to remember that Carbineer is being setup in a support role and the ENTIRE game is going away from SOLO play. Even though SOE has screwed up a lot, their focus is GROUPS, not solo people.

I agree with the support profession call......and we are great at it....I usually sit back 50m with the guild melle guys , target someone and lower their posture, then our tks and fencers run in....i will then provide cover by kding anyone that trys to help out...I like the profession.

I did however get a bit pi**ed of though with all these people running about in big pvp battles while i provided cover .....so not too long ago I went.got buffed... 2 brandys....muon...and went into pvp all ready to kick some ass. THREE SHOTS I WAS DEAD!! a nice little rifle/fencer put me in my place...i hit his health, but with his buff and his 80% energy comp, i didnt stand a chance against the stun weaponmind hit crap!!!

So lesson I have learnt....stay back and cover..its what we do....all these ppl that say carb is crap at pvp, are either not doing it right or are running in and getting fooked, in that case change profession..

Good Luck fellow Carbs

You need some stun layered composite and a shield gen, take 2 or 3 vagerian canape as well. Rifleman/fencer is tougher due to the higher defenses, but with the rifleman without a melee professionI dizzy and KD them and stand right on top of them spamming scattershot, when they get up I give them an actionshot 1 and they are back down again.

We really need to petition for them to increase the length of the carbineer dizzies, confusion shot is fantastic because the dizzy lasts so long.

Translation: There are some people smart enough to play as a carbineer, but most are too dumb and can't think, so they suck at it.

The reason I love carbineer,is because everyone has an attitude like this. Ilove destroying FOTM templates in PvP (if I'm lucky) and watching them struggle to comprehend what just happened. A c c c carbiner beat me???

The problem here being you don't have to think to play TKA, Swordsman, Rifleman or Combat Medic.

Is that it? I thought it was either bad parenting or the lack of a decent education.
