Thread: Why does the BH verstion of FAS2 do all its stat changes 100%
Blind, Dizzy, Stun.
It is a master BH shot that compairs to our FullAutoSingle2.
Now why does it take on average 5-8 shots of FAS2 for me to get the blind/stun effect (and I have to heal on number 4) and our dizzy is still broken. What the hell DEVs, the BH shot does these statis changes, all three, the first hit every time I have been shot with it (about 30 times now). I was dueling my buddy who just got master BH and that shot is exactly how our full auto shots should work, but no, we get to use it 4 times killing ourself and have about a 10% chance of ONE of the statis changes to be implemented. NOT TO MENTION THE DIZZY STILL DOES NOT WORK, STILL IS NOT APPLIED, AND WHEN IT IS IT DISAPEARS IN .000001 SECONDS!
Because its a MASTER bounty hunter ability, incedently the least mastered profession in the game(according to the devs) and probably considered the most difficult to master.
FAS2 is not a master skill. I agree the dizzy should be fixed, but it's not meant to be a gaurenteed blind/stun/dizzy.
It is the same with eyeshot: blind applied 99% of the time
It is the same with panic shot: stun applied 99% of the time
It is the same with confusion shot: Dizzy applied 99% of the time
It is the same with.... pretty much every special with statis effects but ours. Not only do ours cost the most HAM, and are the slowest, but they are applied the least. L A M E.
It is stupid, not only is dizzy broken but it takes 15 seconds and your whole ham bar twice over to get the stun and blind from all the full auto shots.
Also, FAS2 is not master, but FAA2 has the same thing, and applies it just as infrequently, and is one of our most difficult to acheive specials.
I am thinking the reason for the MASTER Bounty Hunter skill to work so much better than the NOVICE carbine skill is because it is a MASTER skill in the BOUNTY HUNTER line
It took over 200 in game play hours of running missions to get his Master skill, I have seen guys get novice carbine in 12 in game play hours. Why on earth would a novice carb skill like FAS2 be better or even the same as a Master BH skill.

Hey KJ, it took you a long time to get to master sure. But when you got there your powerful. Im one skill box from master and I suck ass, basically anyone but fellow carbineers can kick my ass.

I've got BH carbine 4 and novice carbineer, recently droppedcharge shot 1 and FAS2.Charge shot takes far less ham for KD than either underhand shot or fire knockdown, about 40% less than underhand and 20% less than fire, and the rate of the target dropping is the same for all 3. Fire KD and confusion shot do not apply every time. It is all situational and depends on digital dice rolls and the resists of the target. If the target has high resistance like a TK master it is hella tough to get a dizzy or KD on him or her. Not sure how good the MBH shots are but hopefully will know soon enough ![]()

All are ment to apply stun, blind, and dizzy. Sure none apply dizzy, its broken, hope it gets fixed. But every other profession I have played, and every other profession that my friends have played that have specials that do one or more statis changes apply them AT A MINIMUM 80-85% of the time. Ours is more like 20% of the time.
And sure master BH is dificult, but only because the investigation tree is broken. Once that happens, master BH will be nothing special. My friend got 0/4/4/4 BH in about 2 weeks, took me a month playing to master carbineer. Just had a friend drop 2/3/2/2 carbineer a week ago and he is now 0/3/4/3 BH, he has said several times that leveling carbineer was more dificult.
So drop that argument, it dosn't make any since when you look at the big picture.
The point is, our full auto attacks kill us prior to applying one (if you are lucky) of their statis effects, when every other profession I have interacted with applys them more often than not. I even have flurry shot 1 and that applys dizzy way more frequently than any of the FA attacks apply blind or stun.
Oh and getting special abilities 3 is god **edit** hard man, that is a crap load of combat xp, and it is our hardest special to get seeing as since charge 2 is broken and I don't feel even counts as a special, and we don't get jack crap at master.
FullAutoAttacks should have one calculation for applying all 3 statis effects, not one roll for each effect. And the chance should be much higher.
Your missing the point.
You can't compare a master ability in the harderst to master profession against a skill in a non master box.
You can't compare eye shot, panic shot etc because those apply only ONE status effect. Legshot3 stuns everytime I believe, and if its not 100% its sure close. So that is our equivalant(although stun is up in the air as to WHAT it does and how useful that is)
FAS2 can stun, dizzy, and blind. Name another profession that has a skill that has the chance of applying 3 status changes? If it applied all too often, it would be far too powerful. Thats the limitation.
If it did have a roll to apply all 3, it should still be low, no higher than 50%. An attack that can do decent damage, blind, stun, and dizzy, would be far too overpowering if you ask me. I fear the blind effect from Eye shot more than I do the Mind damage. It kills your accuracy so much its not even funny.
No but they only apply 1 status change each I believe? I dont know any attacks that can apply 3 status changes besides our full auto attacks(besides that BH master skill, Scatter Blast?).
I'm just saying if Full Auto attacks could blind, stun, and dizzy all in 1 shot, and did it regulary, wouldn't that be a wee bit powerful? As blind by itself is very very powerful, and so is dizzy, stun is arguable as to whether it does much.
So we would have an attack that could kill someones accuracy, make them dizzy(which we could follow up with posture changes even at novice) and keep them down, stun them, and do pretty decent damage to them?
I agree the dizzy needs to be fixed. It doesnt stick currently. I'd also agree maybe with a chance to apply more than just one of those effects, but it would need to be a pretty low chance.

I got hit with it last night as an opener from BH i was chasing. I then lay there twitching and failing to stand as he thought for a moment, switched to pistol, and calmly shot my eyes until I died.
It's a VERY effective move... Yes, I checked my log to see what the heck had hit me and ruined my day in 1 shot... I was wearing 60% composite as well... just made me lay there twitchign for a few more eyeshots.
Not saying BH don't deserve attacks like that, but seriosuly, what's the point in pvping when someone can hit you with that? It's a one shot kill, basically. They just have to wander up and shoot you while you're twitching. I thought SOE didn't want one shot kills in pvp?
I teamed with a BH Carabineer today, he kicked major bootay compared to me.
Then again, a blind gorg with one leg can compare to me.
