Thread: what is your choise of gun???

Hello folks I am new to this skill set and basicly picked it up cause every one says it broke.(I like to succed against the odds) Right now im 0101 in carbineer and am using Nyms Slug Thrower, which i really like. Just curious what you all are using and what some options for me are. I am on the Nartius server so if anyone would like to look me up in game that would be cool also if you have a weaponsmith conection on nartius let me know.

I like elite carbines now cause they have the highest min dmg and with the new mitigation that's what I want for pvp.

i have 1 of each carbine, all but 2 are krayted and i use them based solely on the opponent and the how many opponents i will have to fight at once. obviously youll want to take into consideration your opponents armor rating and resists and go from there. if im in a situation where i have to fight multiple opponents at once i will put weapon speed higher on my priority list so i can switch targets quick in order to get specials off on all of them as needed.
i pretty much use mykrayt elite, krayt e11, nyms/dxr6,krayt dh17. after that i use my ee3vs heat vulnerable mobs and probably use laser carb the least.

elite and dxr6 the most, but my krayted laser for PvE and my krayted/stocked laser for non ranged people with comp in PvP.
i need more krayt tissue for a krayted elite and dxr6 lol.

My go to gun at the moment is the e11 because of the AP1 coupled with it's good speed. I'm not a master yet so I don't know how that will change things but if I can hit the speed cap on cripple shot using it I think I'm goign to keep it as my main weapon.

I have a krayt EE3 with a stock and scope, it looks sharp and is my right hand man.

my 500+ max damage laser carbine

I use the elite and DXR6 for almost everything. I hate the laser because of the low min damage. But no matter what weapon i use it never fails...i alwase get the opposit of the slice i want lol. Only time i use a laser is wen im fighting heavy armored mobs and want the pierce. I look for consistancy in my shots not the super high damage shots like the laser has a "chance" of. BUt i carry all carbs with me for diffrent ocations.

Laser Carbines hands down. The max is high, and the fact that they have Medium Armor piercing makes quite a difference.

I have a custom EE3 with barrel, scope and stock. I love EE3's anyway, so this was great. For a subtitute when heat damage won't do, I have a laser carbine with stock,scope, and barrel.

Like others have mentioned I carry one of each (except a slug thrower), and match them according to my targets weakness. I also carry 3 different power ups. One for damage, one for speed, and one for action cost. This further allows me to "customize" my attack. Finally I have macros that toggle between wepons and have bound them to keys 1-6 so that I can "hot swap" wepons on the fly. This is really handy if you are in a combat senario where targets other than the primary get drawn into the fray.
To do the macro bit simply drag each of your wepons into an empty toolbar slot in a pane you don't use. I use pane 4, slots 1-6. Then write a macrothat will go to that pane, select the proper slot and go to a combat pane. For instance I have my E11 in pane 4 slot 1 and my combat attacks in pane 2 so my macro is:

/ui action toolbarSlot00
/ui action toolbarPane01
To keybind this go into options (ctrl+o). Go under misc. and scoll all the way to the bottom to select keybinding.

I mostly use Elites for both pvp and pve, also depending on the situation I use an EE3 or an DH17. Very rarely I use DXR6's aswell but I dont feel like they can compare to an Elite in anyway except for the acid dmg.

I dont know if its just my server (kettemoor) or what but its impossible to find good carbines it seems.
Right now im using aLaser carbine with a +33% max damage powerup on it.
Depending on what i fight though I switch between my drx6 with acid damage or my ee3 with heat damage.
I have an elite but i just dont see the usefullness of it right now.
I wanna get some hunting parties together to get some kryat tissue but my lag screws me outta ever getting the loot!
