Post your templetes. Keep it flame free people.

This template does not pwn or = teh w1n. It will give you enough power to put up a damn good fight with anyone and thats what we are after here. Melee's will still probly kick your rear since autofollow + high defenses+ doc means you will probly loose, but with enough skill and using the landscape, you should be able to kite. And if they lack Doc, well its game over for them hehe.

Master Carbineer - Read any thread in this forum and they will explain how we do business.

4030 Doc - Your protection against chemical warfare. 80 med use Janta Blood cure packs get to around 500ish power for poisonand 280ish power for disease (depending on blood power). This is about the break even point to counter them nasty venom packs according to the Doctor forums. Regular med 80 cure packs will require you at least 2 cures to counter a strong venom pack, so we want one stim per poison and not wasting time double curing. Macro /stand /curestate dizzy is extremely valueable. Worth every skill point.

4004 Combat Medic - With 85-90% base/40% stun Composite/40-60% PSG's/Doc buffs, this is how you kill someone in today's pvp. I wont go into detail since its all available in the Combat Medic forums for you to view/flame heh, but 4004 coupled with venom packs punches holes in 3-5k mind pools. Does wonders when its time tripple incap for base raids/defending. +40 Terran neg is an added bonus as well. Them Imperial bastards...I mean your enemy wont get far when he/she tries to make a break for it.

The Doc skills and Combat Medic skills are there to counter your enemy. Granted your poison will probly not do verywell if they can cure, but its there to keep them on there toes, make them not shoot and have to cure. A DOT Carbine adds so much to this template. Read up on the Doc forum on why its difficult to cure stacked poisons.YourCarbine spraying them down with even more poisons adds to the mayhem hehe.Couple all of that with all the Carbineer specials, and you will hold your own in solo pvp.

The reason I do not see a Carbineer/Melee class doing well in pvp is the ability to cure. Your better off just dropping Carbineer and picking up Doc if thats your plan. Those DOT melee weapons (thank the NS Elders) will tear you up if you cant cure. Nothing wrong with this type of template in pve.

Ive won my share of duels with this template. Ive defeated rifleman/doc, rifleman/cm,never dueled afellowM Carbineerheh, and pistoleers of all flavors. Lost just as many to these templates also. The bane of this template however is a melee class. No defenses and straight offense gets you in trouble fast. And with FOTM being melee with there sick DOT weapons and defenses, it makes you want to scream heh.

Anyways, hope this was helpful. Read on for more Carbineer templates.

There is a really nice write up in one of the stickies about Carbineer/Melee templates. It's a real good read.

I have gone with the following template..

Master Carbineer

BH 0430

This is solely for carbine speed and accuracy and state effects. I still can't beat the FOTM fencers but I can take on most other templates. I just wish I had enough skill points to keep BH pistols 4. With this I can lay down...

Stun (Full Auto Single 2)

Dizzy (FAS2, Confusion)

Blind (FAS2, Eyeshot)

Mind Bleed (Bleeding Shot)

Action Bleed (Action Shot 2)

KD (Charge Shots, Fire KD, Underhand)

Posture Down (Suppression 2, Action)

You just need to make sure you keep the Blind, Dizzy, Stun on them and use your posture downs. For melee professions I usually hit them with Action Shot 2 right off the bat instead of immediately going for the KD. Get them kneeling then apply your state effects then go for the KD. I have had opponents pinned to the ground a number of times with the Dizzy we have. Which you are going to need because with the weapons we have available to us, it is going to take a while. I normally use a powered up dxr6 laser with a min dmg boost.

One question I have though is to the blinds from eyeshot and FAS2 stack? same with FAS2 and confusion for Dizzy?

I have the same thoughts as you Sivol but I'm skipping cm for master doc/novice brawler and use dot carbines instead. Carbineers are definately the least used prof in pvp and I thought it'd be nice to see how well you can do with it. Since pvp mostly is a poison/fire/disease and states war, carbineer with cm or dot weapons should be able to do better than most people think. FullAutoSingle2 is an awesome attack and combined with dots it should keep most people busy with the healing of states etc.

Your template is probably more powerful than mine considering most dot weapons can't compare to a cm dot and also thanks to the terrain nego, but the added power in healing dots from master doc and intimidate from nov brawler comes handy too. And I want to avoid cm. I've only recently finished my template but so far I've had a good time using it. When someone is blinded/stunned and intimidated they are easier to handle for some reason

I hear ya....and Im not really complaining, its a known fact cm's do the most damage, IF youre not ready, I really don't like to fight without a doc around, andalot oftimes(havla) thats not enough, but hey its US the player base that have decided that this is how we play the game, poisons and disease rule the day......but why in the world would you do something you hate to be tough....if that statement itself doesn't truly capture the state of pvp I do not know what does.....

Riseabove, not sure he said he hated being CM, he just hates CM's as in getting poisoned by them. I hate CM poisoning, hate headshots from Riflemen/Swordsman/BH, hate getting kd'd from TK/Carbineer, hate not hitting fencer/pistoler, oh, I just hate getting killed, yeah.

Sivol, great template. I've considered it myself. I kind of bounce back and forth between having a mastered ranged profession and being able to buff and rez. Currently I amDoc 4440 and CM 4004. This leaves you 3 lines in a profession. I have 3 lines in rifles, figuring the headshots would help make the poison go down smoothly.

I considered swapping the rifles for carbines for the kd and states. Seems like a good crowd control combo. Not sure how good carbines would be with only 3 lines, and I don't know enough to pick what 3 lines. I know rifle suffers a lot without master (master rifle was my first prof back at release). My main weakness would be against amaster rifle/doc, but like you said, with your carbines you could keep him down, no dizzy or posturedchange/kd defense.

You have any additional thoughts on this or the possiblity, useability of 3 carbine lines? Which they would be? Not rezzing would be kind of sad, and not being able to buff, it's just so convenient, and not having it would break a master carbineer friends heart, heh. =) Asking you since you are using this specific template, which obviously plays different than other Carb combos.

The End All Carbineer PvP Template:

Cm 4404 Doc 4440 Carbineer 0404- This template is more of a support template, but is very effecient both ways. To make sure you can shoot fast and accurately you may want to get +25 to speed and accuraccy attachments to boot

Basically your in your group PvPing, you area dizzy them, area KD them, chuck poisons and disease. Heal your teamates, and just keep going with it. I have gotten groups of people trying to burst/fly away and just used area KD with dizzy chucked sum poisons, and my group came and just beat em up. Its a great combo for a support role.

I also have another char that i use to PvE with since this char is a PvP based only.
