Thread: Post CU Skill respec

Rumor is I'll be able to respec my non novice skill boxes into new skills after the revamp? Just wondering if anyone knew for sure?

you can re-usesp for new skills if thats what you mean

Devs stated that combat professions (like Carbineer) would be able to respec, yes.

Actually the re-spec info was in the CU Update Doc by Blair and then removed......I think because of Jedi Issues, but I suggest you all watch the Docs closely because the come back and edit them later.


I can't imagine a scenario where we don't get to re-spec, but it is out of the Docs currently

Hmmm..thats kind of disturbing. It seems the longer the document is out the more it is subject to editing. I was very excited when it was first released and I still am in a way but any theorising I have done is largely useless and just have to wait until the patch hits I guess.


Have been thinking a lot about my respec. I enjoy being a support unit on the battlefield...sitting back about 40m and laying states and knockdowns etc. Was thinking about finishing my medic training and taking the tree of Doctor to cure states as I hear there may be a shortage of Docs after the Upgrade...hehe. Anyway, would be a nice compliment being a Carbineer/Doc but thats just me...

I have no problem speaking against SOE and supporting them too when they deserve either one.....but this new deadline is quickly lowering my confidence....


Don't get me wrong or take that the wrong way, the Combat Upgrade is AWESOME (on paper), but if it is rushed it might take 1-2 months after it first goes LIVE to feel the full benefits for everybody. Either way the combat system in SWG will be greatly improved.And actually if we took 2 more months to test it or if it is rushed and takes 2 months to fix it after LIVE, I guess we end up at the same place at the same time.....just frustrating on this side of the fence too.

I totally agree. The CURB shouldn't be rushed out, it should be tested for an signifiant time so all balances can be ironed out, BEFORE the public gets access to it.


And as it seems the time will again be very short (not the first time). But JtL they seemed to get right and on time, so I hope they can make the CURB too... thought the CURB is so much bigger and so many things to balance.

Being honest has me walking a very thin line in regards to the NDA.....


JTL needed a lot of tweeks and has 1% of the balance issues as the CU.....but only time will tell.

The NDA prevents any information leakage, so right now everyone is just throwing around conjectures.

It is actually quite humorous to read most of the "leaked" info, it is either very old or completely fabricated.....makes for good laughs

What do the devs expect when they keep so much secret.... This is 6 weeks off hitting live, as we know it will dramatically effect the game, yet in vast areas we know not much at all about it....
