Novamarine = Troll

Hm... I could kill bunnies and kreetles all day, or I could find out from others what would maximize my time killing. Killing Bols? Killing Dark Troopers etc.. What has the highest xp return for the lowest downtime from battle?

Grab the carbine that does acid-based damage, head to Dantooine, and get the voritor missions. I keep on forgetting to grab my acid gun (house is 25 mins from Nym's on Lok) but Genrader swears the XP is awesome against these guys using acid based damage.

As a Ch and some Doc i dont see you haveing ny problems mastering Carbines in a very very short time just do it before the pathc cause it will get much harder with the reduction in pets avalible and with MOBS swithing targets more. Just go to Dant and run voritor missions 4k per critter and around 8 or so per lair depending on how hihg you can pull them with all your pets grouped. ( i go overt and use my troopers to help pull missoins then put them right back to bedcause as we all know they are worthless) and you get some good CR while you are at it. \

If you can no longer buff go buy a crate of Breath of heaven and 2 of Ryshcakes (will be paid for in a few missons) as these make your specials cost 0 without armor and around 11 with composite. Spam away and they go down quick with either a DXr6 or a Lazer (lazer is my choisecase the AP2 seems to do more for me than the acid damage with AP1 )

I will have mastered this profession in just over a weeks time by the following...

Once you have Novice Carbineer, get a ROCK BEETLE. You currently do not have to be a creature handler to use one, and I believe you'll be able to use it after the update. Get missions on Dantooine for Hurtons. I like the Hurton Huntresses because they give me over 4k xp per kill. The voritor lairs are ok, but sometimes even the standard voritor lairs have dasher's in them, and they can disease you and/or your pet. Try to pull one Hurton from the nest area at a time. If you want really nice xp.. pull it around 150 meters away from the nest, then kill it. Most of the time, when you get back to the nest, it has respawned and populated the starters again. I got like 50k xp from a piket nest like that one time. I wasn't intentionally doing it, I was really just trying to get ONE creature to attack instead of having two or three beat on my beetle.

As a carbineer, it's overly important that you be able to heal yourself. Good stim b's with like a 380+ rating and novice medic is all you really need. Pick up some pet stims for your pet as well, they can be any level, but keep in mind a rock beelte only has around 2200 HAM, so no need to get really high level pet stims. Take food with you if you can't forage it for yourself so that you can feed the bugger to make him shut up when he gets "hungry". Take tents and a mount too. I usually ride my mount out to a spot near the first mission and dismount, store, get out the beetle, group him, then disband the camp and complete my missions.

Hope this helps.

The best of his class at secret training grounds on Yinchorr, Kanos was an expert at the echani fighting form and in wielding a force pike. Kanos' fanatical loyalty, though, was his greatest and most dangerous weapon. Even after Palpatine was defeated at Endor, Kanos and his fellow Royal Guardsmen remained true to the Imperial ideal. As Imperial moffs and admirals began greedily carving up the Empire to fuel their own ambitions, Kanos attempted to uphold the codes of the New Order.

I estimate around 4 million carbine xp and 500K combat xp to master this profession. Anyone have some good tips on earning good xp towards mastering this profession?

HEya,

Get a MCH to accompany you, get doctor buffs, and go kill big animals.

Just have the MCH use two Maulers to tank, you do as much damage as you possibly can.

Dantooine or Endor.

Rinse Repeat

Any tips on what to kill? I am already CH and Doctor. I am keeping enough of them to still heal really good and have a good tank. I have no difficulty in taking down 2 Dark Troopers and his 3 Stormtrooper cronies on the Garm missions.

As shocking as this might sound, you could get all that exp you need by playing the game.

Go out and kill things. It's not like there is some hidden creature in the game that when you kill it with a carbine you are awarded 10 million exp.

Carbine levels like every other combat class....go kill everything that moves.

Why should I tell you? I earned my xp the hard way. I learned how to use a carbine on my own (heaven forbid). They should make a new profession called the "Holohunters" where you can ask them how to grind fast.

Sorry, just felt like ranting and this looked like a good thread to do it on.

I have been working on Carbineer for a while, currently 4/3/3/3. Anytime I want to grind out some Carbine XP i just go to Dantooine and get Picket missions. I get about 35k Carbine Xp for each layer. That usually includes 7-9 Pickets plus the xp for the lair. I have only used a Laser Carbine. I think I will try out the one that does Acid Dmg to see if it helps at all.
