Well maybe not as good as my E-11 mk2 at 560dps. But at 536dps definitely ranks second.

yes, but your E-11 doesn't do elemental damage. So, in some cases the Proton Carbine will definately be better.

is the proton carbine a rotw quest reward? if so, could someone please post a link to the guide?

its easy, its in the ryyat trail or whatever, and you talk to the wookiee with the boots and he will tell you what to do. then you descend 2 floors later on,and you kill about 3 of the dudes he tells you too kill. (dont remember which). you later talk to a trail boss and he will take you back to the gate where you can complete your quest, and get the carbine.

The only carbine that does enough elemental damage to be worth anything is my slugthorwer (144 acid). The proton does 60 cold if I can remember correctly. Still not enough to make that much of a difference. Also if I can remember correctly DPS includes elemental damage into the mix.

Yes, its a real simple quest for ROTW but it requests Master BH.

#1 - STICKY post has info on Proton Carbine
#2 - List Base DPS as Modified DPS doesn't allow for any comparision....I can get my Proton Carbine to 780 Modified DPS but that number doesn't mean much to others.
#3 - DPS already includes Elemental Damage and right now the Elemental is insignificant when looking at armor in PvP but might be slightly useful in PvE....of course the damage numbers are so low I can't imagine it would make any difference at all.
#4 - Please look at the Carbine Stat STICKY to get info on newly crafted Carbines too.....I am taking up this issue in the Corr Forum already. Basically I used +179 Damage Krayt Tissue (WS said many amazing success for all my Carbines) and it can't get up to a Loot/Quest Proton Carbine......this is a MAJOR ISSUE.
#5 - RotW Quest doesn't require MBH but using the Proton Carbine does

The nym slugthrower does significant elemental damage. While my old pvp slugthrower converted nicely (400ish DPS), elemental damage makes up for 1/5th of the the damage output. Everything else I have tested has beeninsignificant. Something to keep in mind if you need to get past PSG's + Armor.
#4 - Please look at the Carbine Stat STICKY to get info on newly crafted Carbines too.....I am taking up this issue in the Corr Forum already. Basically I used +179 Damage Krayt Tissue (WS said many amazing success for all my Carbines) and it can't get up to a Loot/Quest Proton Carbine......this is a MAJOR ISSUE.
#5 - RotW Quest doesn't require MBH but using the Proton Carbine does.

Absolutely impossible that was Base DPS for the Proton Carbine....I have one and they are all the same.

It's just a pity you have to be a bounty hunter to have the weapon, but I'm sure this statement has been made more than once, so I'll go no further with it.

is this 780 dps with a pup? what kind? i cant hit more than 553 and the only pups i have seen (barrles) lower my dps...

Honestly, you can make better with a Krayted E11 or Elite. I know those won't be as popular as the Proton due to it being a quest weapon, but it's possible.
