Thread: weapon speed
hey just a quick queston... I have a laser rifle with 5.5 speed .. i saw someone post that hey have 1.9...
1 which is faster?
2. is this how long it takes before you shoot or is it like 1-10 and the higher you are the faster you shoot?
the lower the number the faster u shoot.
i have NEVER seen a laser carb with 1.9 speed, i won't believe it until i see the actual in-game carbine itself.
thats number is the times it takes in seconds for the next action in your que to execute, hope this helps
I’ve seen 2.0 speeds sliced and with a power-up (hinge triggers). I have one with 2.2.
i also have 1.8 speed 41- 276 28/44/22laser carbine with slice and powerup and it rocks, use it with a 3.2 speed 38-440 28/45/22 for good bleeds.

It's my understanding that a weapon will only fire, at most, once per second. If this is correct, at master level of a ranged profession, you are going to be firing at once per second whether your weapon speed is 2.2 or 1.3.
The real question here is why would I pay to have a weapon (mostly pistols) sliced for a fast speed instead of damage? Is there really a benefit to that?
I can certainly understand speed mods for rifles and heavy weapons that have a speed of 5+, for example, but doesn't make sense to me when people want their FWG5's, Scatters, etc, sliced for a real low speed.
Please point out any flawed thinking, appreciate any help.
