Thread: Carb Speed, 105 vs 120
with or without mmarksman huh ? ... consider CombatProwes ... second branch it adds 12grs and costs only 4sp (for speed 117)... or go with this on top and have 132speed :-) with tapes 182 O.o
but havin some healing in template is better imho

I currently have 130 carbine speed (I'm capped on carbine speed SEAs). However, I'm thinking about trying to getting +25 general ranged speed too. Will it be worth it?
The carbines I'm mainly using all have a speed around 2.00.
You can get120speedwith Mmarks yes. Or you can do MBH, MCarbs, Squad Leader xxx4, Medic xx2x and use healing efficiency items to increase your heals. I think a 800pnt heal along with stim D ought to be enough. If you are still dying under those circumstances you might need a tactical re evaluation.

I'd like to do MBH, MCarbs, Squad Leader x4x4, and I don't want to be without healing. SL gives you 5 more gen acc, camping skills, and slightly better defense.
Of course Mmarks would make me viable with rifles and pistols, however 9 times out of 10 I am using a carb. They are my favorite weapon.
On a side note, you guys with speed increasing items might want to check that they are working. I have heard from a few people some tapes are broke.

The issue with Speed SEA's is the Cooldown/Windup Timers use base weapon speed, not modified speed.

well whats the point in having seas for speed then if its based on base?
Good question and I wish I had an answer......Devs were told about this bug months ago.....

Thanks for the heads up. I knew there was a reason and forgot the specifics. Now I need to figure out how much of a return there is between 105-120.

well, according to the speed formula on swgwiki (let's callit 's'). We have:
s(120)
-------- = 0.975
s(105)
Or in other words: You will gain approximately 2.5% in dps with 120 instead of 105.

Right now with medic xx2x and HE clothes I have a 843pnt heal. I haven't picked up a droid yet. If I go CM 4xxx I would lose 30 acc and the speedyet gain heals up to 1158. I hate being required to have so much healing and I still think 300plus healing is better than 3% more DPS. Guess I will end up cookie cutter MC MBH CM 4xxx.

I am also MC/MBH/CM 4xxx. I have +19 Healing Eff, +25 General Acc, +25 Carbine Acc, +25 Carbine Speed, +25 Carbine Defense,/melee/range defense.
The accuracy is huge. 271 range accuracy with carbines, add in my +60 Accuracy E11 and some pyro and my acciracy is 550ish or with crispic my accuracy is 360. The speed is nice but there is still some problems with the Warm up/cool down timers at the moment.
GO FOR ACCURACY then speed.
