I have sensed a great disturbance inthe force, as if millions ofrifleman screamed out in pain and all became carbineers.

Can already see everyone flocking to this class. I might take it now. Not to be uber, but because I kind of always like it but it was so broken.

Now I look like an FOTMer though =(

i would say that for the next 2ish weeks, ppl will flock to carbineer, but then 90% of those will realise we arnt uber and go back to rifle, or TKA or CM whichever

I have *always* loved carbines...However, between the low accuracy, useless specials, outragous HAM costsand *slow slow* speed (even with their lower delays) it was just not a feasable class to PvP with....With these last couple of patches, only *two* of these problemshave been fixed (partially)...However the largest issue (speed) has yet to be touched...So I really can not see carbineers becoming the flavor of the month, they still just are not strong enough for it .....I just hope the speed equation gets fixed next (biggest underlying Issue in the game), then who knows I might drop pistoleer to become a carbineer again (I know, Pistols are broken too, I have no luck lol)

Carbineer isnt that much greater in PVP now than it was. We just work now, but rifleman still owns our tail.

Dizzy sticks for 20 seconds....and yes I tested it. It seems short because the othe states last longer.

/agree have seen alot of carbineers, did some PvP the other day. The only new special i really used was /fullautoarea2 and /fullautosingle2, the added dizzy gives us a much need boost, hardly cause us uber. Well some people did lieing on their backs looking at the screen. When you seethe message someUberRifleman is no more, all the FOTM tells i get almost seem to fad away into the distance, now if they just realized they got me 3 times to my 1 then maybe something will be accomplished.

With the new patch we have a slight fighting chance. Still excel in a support rolein large groups, and even more so with this new patch. But by no means are we uber.

/agree

sure there might be a fewFOTM's switching to carbine, but their underlying need to be "uber" will lead them back to rifleman

as for me, I'm keeping my carbines (i have a wonderful collection on the wall of my house! ) and FAA is a beautiful thing...

Won't happen with this patch.

Our specials are fixed but our HAM costs are outrageous. Rifleman can still spam mind-attacking specials all day with two shots of Vasarian Brandy. Booster Blue, pre-patch tat sunburns, Neutron Pixie, or any other non-doc buff can't compensate for our HAM costs adequately.

In addition...last night I was fully doc buffed fighting Young Hanadak Rock Crushers on Endor using a Nym's Carbine. With two doses of Brandy I was still bringing my mind dangerously close to the incap point after killing 3 of them by using BurstShot2 with the occasional CripplingShot or ScatterShot2. Bear in mind I've migrated all my secondary stats to maximum and was only wearing 80% composite helmet, pants and chest that all had been encumberance sliced.

Rifleman is still the flavor-of-the-month for ranged combat.

Combat medic is still king of crowd control.

Carbineer is still quasi-gimped from HAM costs...but our specials work and I'm pretty happy about it.

FAA2 is not all that cracked up to be. I was testing it on a stormtrooper yesterday and when I finally applied dizzy the ST was almost dead because I was spamming FAA2 so much. I haven'ttriedit in PvP though.

I agree, our ham costs bite pretty bad

I've picked carbine well before the patch, and am working it pretty nicely. The one thing I dont' like so far is the costs on HAM. I tried dueling my alt character, a wookie. The wookie didn't even hit me, was totally unarmored, and I was spamming scatter shot to it. In the end my HAM was much lower than the wookie, even after 2 shots of stims.

I don't know...not sure why the HAMs need to cost so dang much. I get doctor buffs before leveling, but dang...that gets expensive in the long run. Too bad there isn't a cheaper way...maybe the devs helping us out in the HAM costs a tad.

As far as dizzy/knockdown. So far knockdown works about 1/4th of the time, and dizzy never stuck on fullautosingle or area. I don't know *shrug*

Rifleman is still much better than carbine. Carbine is still a gimped class.
