Thread: Very annoyed by devs ignoring us and in result nerfing us!

"Adjusted several combat special moves to no longer bypass Toughness defenses" - thx for specifying....and they screwed it up....people can now dodge it? I dont mean this to bash the devs, BUT WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU THINKING!??!
why im so anoyed:
They baby melee proffessions! they give them all this uber loot from weak enimies (i.e. ACKLAY) and expect ranged proffessions to search for hours for krayt dragons that never drop **edit**...and when tehy do they drop crappy krayt tissue....the only thing that compares to most acklay bones is the friggin ancient krayt tissue and we all know how easy it is to get that. They initially made melee more powerful because they have to run after people, but when i cant damage them there is no use in running....eventually they will catch up and i will die. I am not saying to nerf melee, but bring ranged up to the same lvl as them....everyone good anymore is either a rifleman (thank you thunderheart
for not letting them nerf it) or a melee. Pistols suck unless you have a good geo pistol which costs half a mil. Carbineers are getting dookied on. I mean common! give us a damn stun weapon already! we are the only proffession without a new weapon. Oh yeh! and nym carbines are so worth the 6000 meters you have to travel to do each of the missions....my DXR6 is twice as good as that. And i love how krayt tissue doesnt have minimum damage! acklay bones can make a weapon have higher min that max...**edit** is that about!?!

So...you're saying you enjoyed spamming the broken scattershot that wasn't supposed to bypass all defenses? I dunno if it was intentional that if I got hit by a scattershot2 and my armor prevents only 1 hit of damage, but they fixed that.
I like carbines because of the challenge and the ability to control the opponment/crowd in PVE and don't think much of it in terms of PVP except large group/raid PVP events.
Let's leave this issue alone now. There are better specials than scattershot anyhow and I hope you find another profession to enjoy and stop whining.

Well, carbineers don't really need all that. True, carbineers seem to have gotten less love from the devs than many other professions, but they're still pretty good. Especially if you invest in some skill tapes

A quick look at the fencer forums will reveal that the min higher than max damage ackley bones are being confiscated by the devs. Anyone who makes a weapon out of them must give the weapon up, and the bones must be given up to have their stats readjusted.

Carbineers are supposed to be able to control the state of their opponents...i know that, and it works, but only against low lvl mobs....i can sit there fullauto2 on an enhanced kwi for 1/2 and hour and nothing will happen. Scatter shot is was meant to bypass dodge counterattack and block, but not toughness(scatter hit was meant to do the same thing)thats why its a weak move...they said they made fixed it so it wouldnt bypass touchness anymore and now i cant hit a single melee prof. It was a weak shot that they nerfed...it like when they took commando and nerfed the dot then nerfed it again by giving doc's blankets. I do enjoy carbineer as a proffession! but i dont enjoy dieing....we get 0 melee defense! fencers get 54 ranged defense...that doesnt make much sense to me. i have 2 melee defense from ranged support and 5 cause i got skill tapes. My ranged defense is only 42 and in sure it would be lower if i didnt have master marksman. I have the BH modifiers and skill tapes that dont do jack sqaut.
my point is...sure scatter hit was broken (the armor and toughness part not the other defenses part). You talk as if we are good in PvE but we arent good at any of the new combat....i get demolited in the geo cave and we cant even kill half the nightsisters! We neeeeed to be unnerfed! everything they do to this game makes us weaker and weaker. all i can do is look forward to more skillpoints after the BH temp fix and get some pistols so i can stack my defenses

its true, rather than carbineers being one end of the spectrum, they arent even on the spectrum.

The new changes in bh thatll let us dabble in bounty hunter carbs will make it so we will be able to compete with melee. And buya shield generator and stun armor acklay batons will do **edit** to you no matter what the dmg is.

I don't care for scatter shot I don't care for Stun.
But hey, I'd love a carbine with good stats, something like half the stats of the recent pistols that have been added.
Say about 100-400 damage
Electrical or Blast (so we get a shot at some of the high level content)
Medium AP
Speed 4.0
Decently low HAM-costs
Hey... if you think it's too good, put it at master Carbineer. But seriously, can't we get at least one craftablecarbine with stats that isn't surpassed by pistols?

It was a fix that should have been done 15 months ago but wasn't......that was a bug/exploit that got fixed. If you don't like it, then go play EQ.

And to this statement, I have ZERO trouble getting loot rights from EVERY single Pistoleer I meet and even the BH's using their Pistols......
Let us all focus on REAL problems and not poor planning and game play or a REAL FIX to a bugged/exploited Special.....NO WONDER NOVA DOESN'T COME AROUND HERE ANYMORE!!!!!!!

Well when we hit speedcap, we probably do more damage than pistoleers due to us having better damage specials.
But we (or at least me) do have problems hitting speedcap wheras pistoleers don't. And I was a bit ticked off at finding the new pistol having a max damage that is way beyond a krayted Laser Carbine.
You know me Firehawk (well not really, but you might have seen me post before), I don't complain much on these boards. And I'm proud to have Nova as a correspondent, since he is truly an excellent corre... generally I'm pretty satisfied with carbineer and I'll stay regardless if we get any love or not because I enjoy being a carbineer.
But at times a man has to whine a bit.

Complaining is a right of free speach and often exercised by many, nothing wrong with that. I quoted your post but was really referring to MANY posts in MANY threads here lately....
And did you look at the Speed on that new Pistol.....remember it is all about DPS for each person's setup....
And it doesn't do much good to complain about the past.....so let us bring suggestions for the future to the table, as I have done in my Combat Balance post
