I sure hope so. Let's hope they are craftable from regular stuff and not some uber-rare loot drop that you will have to work for hours to find or pay millions for.

Stun would be nice. As would something electric or cold. Not may weapons do those damage types so it would be a nice treat.

I have no info...
But we did ask for new carbines. I list limited damage types as one of our Top 5 problems...

We have an AP2 carbine - just the min damage sucks and the damage type is pretty common.

Attention carbineers: We'll be adding4 new types of carbines. We know you're frustrated with the limited choice you have in weapons now, so here is what you will see:
Alliance Needler carbine - energy damage, avg attack speed 5.2, avg damage 97 - 143, AP1
Czerka Dart carbine - energy damage, avg attack speed 4.7, avg damage 0.003 - 175, AP2
e5 carbine - heat damage, avg attack speed 3.1, avg damage 85 - 210, AP0
Underslung Carbine - acid damage, avg attack speed 4.0, avg damage 102 - 152, AP1
Czerka Dart carbine - energy damage, avg attack speed 4.7, avg damage 0.003 - 175, AP2
e5 carbine - heat damage, avg attack speed 3.1, avg damage 85 - 210, AP0
Underslung Carbine - acid damage, avg attack speed 4.0, avg damage 102 - 152, AP1
We're also thinking of adding another new cabine as a quest reward. We're thinking of naming it the "Lightningthrower Carbine", which will obviously have acid damage, avg attack speed of 6.0, avg damage 112 - 172, AP1, but since this would be something totally different from the above named weapons, we need to discuss it indefinately. We might release it sometime after JTL, JTL bug fix #7, combat balace #3, and Jedi revamp #37.
We know you're as enthused as we are to try out these exciting new weapons, and they will help you achieve balance in the current game as it stands now. Incidently, we're also increasing the defenses against state attacks, and improving armor so that it completely repels energy, heat, and acid damage attacks, sending them back to the attackers 20 fold. lol i have a feeling that it will be crafted from peice of geo loot and some other crap u pick up in hard dungeons so dont count on the normal materials
