I've heard a number of people complain that Carbine XP is hard to get. Pfft.
Try the following. Get into a nice, big solo group, then go to any player city on Naboo. Take the 10k to 11k Fambaa missions, and go have fun. You should be able to do 2 missions every10 to 15 minutes, giving about 60k xp per lair, for a total of no less than 700k per hour (averaged over 850k per hour myself).
This is easy incarnate.

lots of people are so freaking tight lipped about good ways to grind out xp. i find huurton howlers and quenkers ok for any combat profession. i'm gonna go try these faambas out, thanks for the tip

Tight lipped? Goodness I have used at least a dozen different critters in different scenarios to level around 300k per hour in most professions.....some more some less depending on level.
Naboo to start, then to Rori to get a Novice Elite.....Dant for missions or Endor for random spawns....Dath at the end or any time an uber kinetic tank is around once you hit mid level. Carbineer, Pistoleer, Commando, Smuggler, Fencer, Brawler, Marksman were all done with this basic formula. AND Carbiner XP was not the worst one to get.....Pistol XP sucks.....Fencer and Commando are cake.

I did well with the tortons on Rori yesterday and I did Crimson Blurggs and Blurgg hunters today... made about 70k XP now a Maurader. I still don't know how ya'll do it, though... I'm only 200k XP in a week

The main reason the Fambaas are so cake is that 1) they are less than 1500m from a town terminal, 2) they give 4.5k+ xp each, 3) if mission is over 99 difficulty, you get 5 per pop, and 4) they are on naboo. so, you go get music/dancer/doc buffs, join a solo group, take 1 shuttle trip (to a player city with a mission term), and you are golden. You dont have to hop planets, the Fambaas are good harvests, and almost any elite can solo them.
If you didnt know, go kneeling at 40 to 50m, put a bleed on one fambaa, /peace, and run to 92m. Wait.
When the fambaa ticks, it comes to get you, ALONE. No BAF.
If you need to use this trick for the first few boxes, there it is. Otherwise, just go in, tap the lair, and kill the first 10 of them with an area/cone attack.
Another trick for getting xp (and loots) is to take NPC missions in the same direction, go to the first, kill and loot all the NPCs, LEAVE THE LAIR, and go to the next mission, and do the same. When the NPCs are dead, leave the lair alone, and go back to the first mission. When you get back to the first mission, voila, the NPCs are back again. Using this method, you can kill all of the NPCs at a mission 3 times, and then kill the lair. This works very well for quick faction points, and you still get 3.5k+ xp per NPC, and with high level missions (over lvl 99), you can get 5 NPCs per lair. So, you can still get 45k+ xp per mission, and if doing faction missions, you can really rake it in. I got something like 3000 faction in an hour and change, along with a bunch of weapon xp.

Make sure you have a good set of weapons, first of all. Get buffed, including at least musician buffs. Get some ahrissa, some brandy, and a good solo group. Take some missions and do them. You win. I can IN ALL SERIOUSNESS, get 240k carbine xp in less than an hour. I'm not special.

The pure beauty of this game....you can play what you want at your pace....and when you want to change direction, you can....all in the Star Wars Universe. Is there really anything better?

With Creature Handler you should be using FullAutoArea attacks and racking up XP like you would have never imagined.....

With Creature Handler you should be using FullAutoArea attacks and racking up XP like you would have never imagined.....
Tried that on some Shauput hunter... that was a mistake... the pet decided to take a break in the middle of the fight. And auto stored
I did string them out a bit and go back and kick a$$, but not before I was at 200 health becauseI had about 7 tailing me. It was enjoyable though

Oh that auto-store pet bug is awful....only happens to me on Dath in the middle of Rancor Valley....not pleasant AT ALL......grrrrr
You need better pets if they are breaking off from getting low on HAM, BE pets are the only way to go CH'ing

Hmmmm, never knew this was a trick......that is how you get the spawns on Faction missions vs. Creature missions.....

I've already put some time into the game but I never did this trick, namely for FPs. I'll have to try this one out with my Imp. I wish I knew this before. I already made Colonel last week after getting my Stormtrooper Armor long ago. Ooooh that grind was awful.
