OK, it's time to start grinding the carbine XP for Jedi. On your own opinions, where is the best place to solo Carbineer and gain xp the fastest?

When I did carbineer I had a speed sliced laser carbine with buffs and brandy to fight quenkers on Dantooine. I also had a few bounty hunter carbine skills though, so I'm not sure what to use for someone with just carbineer.

If you can cure states (aka doc) I'd recommend the rancor fields on Dathomir.

Gnarled Rancor and Mutant Rancor give around 5k xp a pop. Tops of fun...

Also... the pirates on Lok give about the same xp in a two person group, such as you and a pet.

I have been experimenting myself with the long grind as carbineer and have a few observations:

Quenkers: pound for pound one of the best ways to gain xp fast.

Pikets: another good source. Plenty of pikets per lair and slightly more xp in general than quenkers but a few seconds extra to kill.

Mokks/Jantas: Good xp and the added bonus of loot.

Squill caves: Good in theory. However, if the caves have a high player population when you visit you end up spending too much time waiting/looking for spawns. Squills take longer to kill too even with a good acid based weapon.

Fort Tusken: I like this place. If it isnt camped you can gain 500K+ over the course of a buff. Added bonus of loot.

I guess the question is whether you want to kill beasties super fast for 2-3K of xp per kill or hit bigger targets for 4-5K per kill but at a slightly slower rate due to their relatively higher HAM. I have found quenkers, pikets and tuskens consistently the best for a speed capped carbineer. Others no doubt have good advice for you on this matter. Good luck!

Simply kill everything that moves in a highly populated random spawn area. Outside my Player City on Dant works great with just enough people to spawn stuff but not too many to compete for spawns.

Get yourself a good Dxr6 and head to the tusken fort early morning sometime that you can, no one is ever there + tuskens have hardly any acid resist. Good luck with it

I agree, fort tusken is fun and isnt nearly as camped as it was a couple of months ago

Actually I'm not grinding for BH. I'm grinding carbine XP to get to Jedi, not to hunt them. But thank you everyone for the tips. The DXR6 with a speed/damage powerup and a full set of buffs, brandy, and canapes did very well for me at Fort Tusken. Slaughtered em room by room. Seems to be the best place for the XP. Cheifs and Warlords giving about 5k and captains just a little less. Thank you all for your input. *Takes up his DXR6 and heads back into the fray*

In the early stages of any profession you'll never get 5k xp from a mob. Don't know exactly how it's calculated, but if as a master carbineer you kill a rancor or huurton stalker you will get the 5k, as novice you'll get around 3.6-3.8k. So the best thing is to start with regular quenkers (3.2k xp), as they fall pretty quick and overall it's much faster to finish a lair than any 9k+ HAM mob lair. Since you mentioned jedi killing, I guess you're grinding BH carbs. Before you start, get novice carbineer for FAS2, it's handy. As for the grinding per-se, I recommend using pbArea1 all the way, it's very effective for any ranged profession.

What I did was go through tusken fort first to get the speed skills and damage moves then got buffs and went to dantooine for some quenker killing
