does dizzy with ks improve as u get better, cause with dizzy hit one and lung one everything just gets right back up and never falls back down. will this improve when i get to fencer and higher up fencer? or am i jsut having bad luck or was this completly nerfed?

only works on MOBs with pockets (i.e. two legged npc types or other players). and it works good with those

I'm Carbineer, 4/4/3/3 and I've tried to get dizzy/knockdown to work..

The dizzy is very broken.. I can't get it to stick.. the target just stand up again..

Its bugged vs animals, they raise up after being knockdown and dizzy. I think you should be able to get NPCs to stay down, at least a guildmate said so.

works on npc's and players
the dizzy is very short and weak tho, i use a dizzy from the BH carb tree

but I am almost master carbineer.. why should BH's carbineer specials be more powerfull then a master carbineer's?
They got better dizzy and better knockdown.. c'mon.. fix our dizzy and knockdown please

For the same reason BHsspend 217 skill points and still hadto take up Carbineer for a working knockdown, and still do for any counterattack or defense against anything, AOE attacks, AOE knockdown, AOE state effects, or scattershot2.


I know what you're saying though, but each profession has its pros and cons to keepany single professionfrom = "teh win"


As far as dizzy goes, Fireknockdown, sprayshot and confusionshot land the dizzy pretty well compared to fullauto, but I've used all and everything acts the same once dizzied.

Make sure you're not spamming Charge Shot.


If you knockdown your opponent and then immediately use ChargeShot again, they'll pop right back up. Use it sparingly and use it ONCE.

The carbineer's dizzy-effect is really not that great (I only witnessed the flop-over on one NPC so far) by itself, ..

On the other hand, the ability to land more than one type of state-change is not that bad at all.

The duration of our straight knockdown is 5 seconds.
The duration of the dizzy is 10 seconds (or even only 5 seconds).

The power of the riflemen's dizzy comes from the "odd situation" that they could do this:

second 01: dizzy for 10 sec
second 02: dizzy for 10 sec MORE: 10-1+10 = 19sec dizzy now
second 03: dizzy for 10 sec MORE: 19-1+10 = 28sec dizzy now
second 04: posture down, still dizzy for 27 seconds
second 05: dizzy for yet another 10 seconds MORE, ...

You get the picture.

(I am Curious: Did that get fixed at all yet?)

We cannot "stack up" dizzies like that, simply because we cannot dizzy with every shot. By the time we landed a dizzy and a posture down and the next dizzy, the dizzy timer is already used up.


Personally I prefer, ..

- the straight knockdown for PVE, just KD, then I try to land one or two burst shots for the bonus damage from shooting a knocked down target.

- and the fullAuto for the blind effect. And.. (if not buffed), to balance the health/action pool drain between using burstShot and fullAuto.

The carbineer dizzy shot is a very novice skill. It starts in the Marksman:Carbineer Tree with FullAutoSingle1, and closes in the Novice Carbineer BOX with FullAutoSingle2.


If we want improvements to our specials, we should come up with constructive critique and true descriptions of our current state.

Our dizzy special is not a master skill. You just looked very ill-informed.

Well, What I object against is that other professions has better carbine specials then the carbineer.
The bounty hunter has better knockdown and dizzy then a carbineer, they got awsome Pistol specials such as eye-shot and they got the LLC tree.

To me it seems like I'm as a master carbineer is weaker with my own weapon (the carbine) then a bounty hunter.


I do not know how accurate these stats is.. but this is from http://swg.allakhazam.com


bounty hunter carbineer bonuses is: Carbine Accuracy +60 and Carbine Speed +50


master carbineer is: Carbine Accuracy +80 and Carbine Speed +35
and (Carbine Accuracy While Moving +30 Carbine Aiming +25 Counterattack +105)


so not only they got better knockdown and dizzy using the carbineer (which we are masters to handle) they are faster with it too.

I'm a (soon to be master) BH/Carbineer. You carbineers have FAR better knockdowns (I have a lot of trouble getting Fireknockdown to actually work), and you get a lot more defenses than we do. Basically, for a BH, the only defense we have is to knock the other guy on his ass (Dizzy+KD) so he can't shoot us, because if he shots, he hits.

If you guys want the BH specials, then you can dabble and get them. Master Carbineer isn't that many skill points. You can still pick up the entire BH carbines tree.

yup.. and then we spent all our points, and to master BH you got 33 points left for medic skills to heal yourself. and we got 13 points left after learning BH carbineer skills.


To me giving another profession (BH) higher speed then the "master profession" (carbineer) is
the same as say that a truck driver can drive faster a F1 car then a F1 driver.

If you think Master BH is stronger than Carbineer than you are greatly mistaken. I'm currently BH/Carbineer and I'm dropping BH to go Master Carbineer with a melee profession.


If you are willing to sacrafice all the skill points, then you damn well deserve the extra speed/power. Me? I'd rather get the defenses from other professions than just be fast.
