Thread: can someone plz tell me why you think the dxr carb is better than the laser carb?

and i dont care about range i'll have 190 accuracy with my template hehe
i can just bust out my 550 dmg geo

no need to master carbines for PvP, you'd rather stick with single specials and defensive lines, my PvP template is the following:
BH 0440
Carbineer 3440
Pistoleer 0044
Rifleman 0004
(scout 4030 just in case there's some good organic shift out there)
this way I got cool defenses (not as cool as stackers but still efficient enough)
awesome firepower
possibility to switch to geo blaster / eyeshot / torso shot at will and with efficiency almost similar than carbines.
kickass KD possibilities (either fire KD or confusion shot/suppression fire)
this sounds quite weird as a template as I got no master, but believe me, I do great in PvP, but it's abit different than regular PvP template as they're usually 70% defense and 30% offense, that template is about 50/50 defense/offense, you got the possibility to kill really fast (easy to KD) and quite safe. it's a melee fighters eater template, all those like TKM/Fencer/brawler and such are quite easy to beat.
it becomes harder against ranged fighters (they got mitigation 3 as I only got mitigation 2), but it's still quite balanced then, you only have to play it smarter, but alot of PvPers being melee, there's no biggie here.
not an "I win" template as you cannot just stand/spam best hit, but it's more efficient than how it looks.

That is an awesome template and I have wanted to try that since you first posted it.....
I still prefer my Defense Stacker, but that is because I have tons and tons of SEA's

im about to master carbineer and i plan to pvp a ton. i saw in a few posts that the dxr is better in pvp than the laser carbine. how?? the laser is ap2 with waaay higher dmg. if someone would explain i would greatly appreciate it. o and uh, hurry, cuz i saw this krayt dxr on a vendor that i could buy if you guys gimme a good reason hehe. thx in advance.

I had an Elite, DXR6, and Laser all made with the same components.....with Mitigation 3 and no PSG, they are all the same DPS....take away Mitigation and the Laser becomes better.....add in a PSG and the DXR6 is best.

nice template there Yamada, but wouldnt it be better to drop the xx3x in scouting and get some more pistoleer or carbineer skills , or invest 3 so you can hunt jedis :-D

can't go invest 3 instead of hunting 3 as the sp requirement are reverse for elite profession (basic is 2/3/4/5 while elite profs are 5/4/3/2)
I'm not planning to hunt jedis until their saber block is as it is now. the thing you could do is to drop to carbineer 3420 I took 3440 cause of friendly duels, and the "no dot" rule so I can use suppression fire 2 instead of action shot to /posture down. you'll lose a few counterattack but u can reinvest in more pistoleer defenses or even novice medic (without hunting line)

The DXR6 Carbine has a lot higher minium damage. With a perfect 30% damage slice and a 16min/32 max powerup we're talking 230 MINIUMUM damage as opposed to the 100-120 you'll get on a laser. Probably a better choice against someone with Ranged Mitigated targerts, but against someone w/o ranged mitigation go with a good krayt laser carbine.

i personally dueled another carbineer and i used a DXR6 and he used a laser.... we both had mitigation 3 he was a MBH/carbineer i was 0 4 4 1 BH master carbineer so we were almost identical. both with composite armor, and he murdered me. it wasn't even close. i win most of my duels, but this was horrible, the laser ripped me to peices, and my DXR6 wasn't even hurting him. just my experience

Can someone splain to me how this template works? I don't get it. Low counter attack. No dodge.
Plus couldn't you just drop the harvesting line and get a droid?

You have the offensive power of BH/Carbineer/Pistoleer with decent but not great defenses. And at this level Counterattack works about as well as at +105....sadly.....
