Thread: I found a good use for Krayt tissues

As you might know, I have never been a big fan of Krayt guns simply because, in reality, the slice makes or breaks the gun. With the right slice, they are awesome, with the wrong slice, an expensive wall hanging. Thus, I have always prefered to just buy high quality carbines with awesome slices.

So here is the problem. High accuracy carbines are ideal for laying states simple because they hit often giving you a good chance of sticking states. When I say high accuracy, I mean 100+. However, when you make such guns, they get very slow. Too slow for a typical non-BH/non-speed tape carbineer to use. However, I found a great solution.

Krayt tissues. The enhanced E11 carbine only uses 1 tissue. Why is this interesting? Because 1 tissue is not expensive nor is it hard to get and the reduced speed of the tissue counters the "slow" speed that an E11 carbine becomes when it is made to high accuracy. So with the use of 1 tissue, an average carbineer gets a nice speedy high accuracy gun.

I want to add that the enhanced E11 is IMO the ideal carbine to use for states because it has the inate health bleed. So, I think this is finally a good use for tissues and should not be very expensive to build.

Happy hunting...

Isn't the correspondants summit today?

Darn, and I only just looked at the top 5, and gave an opinion.

Sorry, to change subjects. I like the idea. I haven't used any kryat weapons yet but I do have an enhanced e-11 krayt, maybe Ill give it a try tonight.

hmmm, interesting nova. never thought of that before, but i might try that. Ive always just bought crates of good quality weapons and sliced them till i get a 30+% damage slice. Ive got 6 Exceptinal Krayt tissues in my bank, but im gonna wait to use those untill ( if ever ) the smuggler revamp fixes slicing to be selectable slices with no randomness.

i always found buying the guns was much more reliable. but also more expensive. have some1 else make the guns with expensive tissues and slice it, then when you find a gun you like buy it from them.

While they are pretty rare, Imp Stocks work great for this too.

Iebas is correct, It is better to go and get some Imperial Retreat Loot Stocks, and pair them with advanced scopes. Have them make you two or three Laser Carbs and then go and get them sliced. A normal Laser will be 80-330ishspeed 3.9, with a Imp Retreat Stock you will get a 80-320ish speed 2.9. With a 30% damage slice and min/max PU your gun will be 135 - 553 speed 2.9 with low ham and +100 accuracy.

#1. Imp stocks are FAR rarer than tissues since they are a quest reward. They are also unavailable to Rebels except through shopping.

#2. You really mean, *if* you get a damage-sliced.

I have no problem getting IMP Retreat Stocks, Worst case is you pay 400-700k for 6 stocks on the auctionwhich is a lot cheaper than tissue and basically these are very similar to speed tissue. The second point is make two or three guns at the same time. I usally get 40% damage and 60% speed on my slice so three guns will guarantee at least one damage slice.

My two cents sir

I get my advanced scopes to +39 ideal range with 18-18-18 ham, far better than the imperial scopes.

Nova, do you pair the enhanced E11 with stocks and scopes as well or just a range experimentation?

Decent tissues, Imperial stocks (averaging 500k credits on Kettemoor a pop), advanced precision scopes.

300+ max damage or sub 1.0 speed Enhanced E11 carbines, pre-slice,are not out of the question.
