65 SAC or nothing. But then I have a bad case of SAC addiction.

I'm a weaponsmith and a bit curious about how you riflemen feel about the special attack cost on weapons. The question is simply - At what SAC do you feel that a gun is not worth buying? Whats the upper limit for a rifle to be useable?
(just generally speaking, I assume that slices, powerups, food, tapes, human sacrifices, etc, can reduce the problems with a too high SAC)

I look for one with lower damage with a sac around 80. I can get a smuggler to slice the damage but not the sac.

I think its a question of balance. Yea, no one wants to run out of action but at what cost?. Either dmg or speed has to suffer. If I have high dmg/ low speed at a moderate sac....I can pretty much spam ranged shot/body shot pretty long before action runs out and depending on the speed might hit for more dmg with just spaming ranged shot because of the speed.

The weapon that most people are using, double capped FW FWG5's, have 935 max damage, around 2.00 speed and 65 SAC.

For the damage and SAC capped ones you hit the SAC cap of 65, then damage slice to 935. Speed is usually around 2.

Well I guess it's all preference but I like more dmg and speed and a reasonable sac as opposed to capped sac 20 something less max dmg and higher speed...That being said I'm currently having another fw fwg5 made to get as close as possible tp sac cap and see which one i like best.
