Thread: One Excellent reason why carbineers should get a Stun Carbine

Well, the reason originates from the movie, Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope. Most of us consider the story and what happened in the movies as kinda 'scriptural' right?

In the opening scene, Princess Leia was confronted by stormtroopers on her 'diplomatic ship'. One stormie (they all hold carbines right??) told the other saying, "Set to STUN". Then that stormie fired 1 stun shot and got Princess Leia without killing her. I never forget that scene and that was one of the first things that a stormie said in the opening scene of the very first Star Wars movie.

That should bring some justification on top of all the other good reasons why carbineers need to be improved, especially the bloody HAM costs

i hope we don't get a stun carbine.... i want a blast/cold/electricity.... but definetly not stun, that would ruin carbineer.... whats so special about stun anyway? with the upcoming armor nerf stun is going to be one of the weakest damage types and worthless. soi hope we get other dmg types instead. but yes your point was valid they did say set to stun..... but i think stun would ruin carbineer.

I hope we never get a stun carbine. I just couldn't stand seeing Carbineer be a FOTM. Blast or cold, HECK YEAH!

Personally, all guns should have the option of being setfor stun, but at a damage decrease (50-75% damage reduction).

If you want a Carbine for PvP, try picking up the DXR6.

If you want a stun weapon, get the fluck out of the Carbineer forums, since there's no chance in hell we'll get one (and I'd like to keep the chance in hell).

Stun will deteriate from a wanted combat type, with the combat revamp

yeap I don't care either bout stun

but we should get some "heavy" carbine, such as the T21 for rifleman
like, slow firing rate (maybe 6 or 7), good damage (blast ? that'd be cool, but we could deal with energy if it's AP3), and/or AP3.

Some people have been waiting for the combat revamp for 1 year. It's not going to be live for another 6 months.

If the devs are not going to nerf armor in the interim period, they should consider giving all professions a stun dmg weapon. People look for stun damage for pvp fights, where the stun protection cap is 45% (i think 45?) and the energy/acid cap is 90%.

Stun damage is pretty useless with PSGs and stun armor around. Unless your goal is to pummel unprepared new PvPers and is that really fun ???

You won't kill any serious pvpers with a stun weapon any better than with a DXR6.

Set to Stun is NOT Stun Damage and that is simply stunning the target without hurting them.....I am always amazed at this "analogy".....
