HI all...I'm trying to squeeze as much as I can get out of my skill points...am considering a carbineer spec WITHOUT the ranged support tree from marksman....has anyone tried this? If so, how do you find this config? I'm aiming for Master Carbineer

Thanks

I am a master carbineer and I dropped the whole line. I noticed no difference.

The only thing that is remotley usefull is warning shot, and thats limited. To me, my doctor skills outweight the usefullness of warning shot(which is what I dropped it for mainly).

Yeah, that's my plan too...aiming for a Master Doctor / Master Carbineer config, with possibly scout for harvesting orgaincs or Artisan for surveying inorganics....

Thanks for the feedback...

I just recetly dropped the entire line also. Being spread across so many professions atm I needed the skill points. I haven't really played enough to notice, and I never used the special shots from the line cause I usually have my pet tank everything for me. I do miss the tumbling moves, as it has saved my life a few times. I got incapp a few times last night from desert demons of all things.....that patch was wierd. I can usually kill them off in one shot, not anymore! It was nice when you would automatically tumble to avoid damage...oh well!

I have dropped the entire line too...But I did so in exchange for some CH, which is more useful than warning shot in my opinion. I'm in a unique position because I have to choose between the ranged support line, some CH skills, and novice medic. I have found, personally, that CH is more useful for a solo hunter than either of the other two.

Dropped it as soon as I needed the points for some carbineer boxes. Don't really see the need for those skills since I'm also a master doc.

I'm a master doc going for master carbineer as well.

I had to drop all 4 ranged skills at once and I didn't notice a change at all...not even to destroy mission payout.

I was really worried it would affect my combat performance but was very relieved it had no impact.

I plan on switching between novice scout and artisian as needed, since it's only a 100 credits each, it's almost like having both.
