Thread: Carbineer PVP template?

Hey all. Currently I am a near master Carbineer and I have the full BH carbine tree - now becoming a BH takes a LOT of skill points, so I am currently a master scout and master marksman just for the BH carbine tree. Is this worth it, in your opinion? I'm pretty set on keeping carbine, so what templates would you suggest?

Also, what is the big deal about charge shot?

try this:

BH Carbine 4

0 3 4 0 Carbineer

0 0 4 4 medic.

self sufficient...you can make your own wound packs and stims, can self heal, have /knockdownfire, /confusionshot, and /suppressionfire2, so you don't need charge shot 1...additionally, you get crippling shot, both burst shots, and have very high accuracy (i believe it's +145 with that template--i had it until recently).

if i hadn't fallen so much in love with medic, i'd still be just that. no armor, no pets, dantooine, solo. easy as pie.

Auspeks you sure you mean 0 0 4 4 medic? You dont really need the crafting tree for PvP.

yeah you should be well stocked before you PvP.

my recommendation is to switch that medic up to 4 0 4 0, so your heals are more effective

Here is the problem: Right now I have 2 in first aid, so I can use stim B's. I have the full bounty hunter carbine line, and I have 3/3/3/3 in the Carbineer line. Here's the thing. I can either drop medic altogether and master carbineer, or I can sacrifice Stim B's and go down to novice medic, or finally I can only bring one of my carbineer lines to 4. Which do you recommend?

I have one other option: should I drop BH carbine IV, drop First Aid 2, and become:

Master Carbineer, BH Carbine III, Novice Medic. I'd lose Confusion shot.

Master carbineer
Master Teras Kasi
+medic and scout (thinking of taking pisotleer defence or fencer defence)

this combo works for me pretty good. Especially w/ nym's slug carbine (med range ownage).

i open up with charge 1(kd) and fullatuo2 (blind) and spam charge 1 still i can get up in their face. unequip carbine, unarmedkd2(dizzy/kd), and either unarmedhit3(blind +insane damage)till they drop or unarmed head hit(mind).... either way they die form range or tka.....

I'm currently BH carbine 3, master carbineer, and novice medic. The super stim Bs that a lot of doctors sell are usually more than enough to save me from the HAM costs. I use a damage sliced laser carbine powered up to around 430 max damage. Fireknockdown followed by two to four crippling shots is enough to kill just about any unarmored pvp opponent with this template. Armored opponents take a few more shots, but are easy if they are dizzy and keep falling down. The only opponents I have problems with are pistoleer/tka/rogues since they have high resists to knockdown and dizziness plus panic shot and commandos at close range (**edit** fire). I fight in full composite and my only problem is mind drain from moves and healing, so I am migrating some stats and getting some mind food.

He's right. Novice Medic is all you need.

I have Master Carb, BH carb 1-3 and novice medic. If your careful and buy good stim B's, then youll be ok.

IMO, its the best pvp build for carbs. No one is going to top your speed or accuracy and you have a huge variety of specials. The only other highly effective build ive seen is for people to go much higher in the medic tree to get the big stim's.

Simple tradeoff really, 1 is all about putting you opponent into the dirt before they can get more than 1-2 shots off. The other is to be able to heal enough damage to overcome the hits you take. Just depends on your playstyle.

there is a really big difference in healing stregnth when going from 4/0/0/0 medic to novice. With decent stim B's you can heal over 1k with 4/0/0/0, but at novice, anything over 400 is a miracle
