Thread: ***Official ScatterShot2 Testing Results*** Update: New Testing on Page 3!!!
- Synthsteak has no effect on ScatterShot2.
- ScatterShot2 does NOT ignore Armor Resistances, or the AP to AR modifier.
- ScatterShot2 follows the 75% PvP reduction.
- ScatterShot2 follows Ranged Damage Mitigation Level 3.
- ScatterShot2 gets resisted on ALL THREE hits by Armor and PSG.
- ScatterShot2 does NOT ignore Block/Counterattack/Dodge.
I hope this puts to rest some of the VERY WRONG rumors floating around the Forums on ScatterShot2.
There is plenty of evidence to support my findings and will be happy to relay all of the calculations and even the log files if anybody wants them.
New testing reveals a more bugged Combat Log than I previously believed or ScatterShot2 can hit from 1-6 times per attack and deal out 8X total damage. Personally I believe the Combat Log to be bugged and this new info to be wrong, but only a Dev can answer this now.

Thanks TA.
Not thatI doubt your testing at all but 7.3 seems like a strange number for the damage multiplier. I find it interesting that synthsteak has no effect. Any speculation as to why this is? I wouldn't think that it would be an intended result by the Devs.
Well I suppose the times the numbers over my head stopped were from -MISS-, but I doubt it. I saw 10X as many Block/Counterattack/Dodge as I did misses and am 99% sure that is what is happening. Remember there is about a 1 shot lag on those numbers.....
As far as Synthsteak is concerned, it might be a difference in the code that draws its number from the same place the Combat Log does..... hits for 1 point damage so only 100% Synthsteak would stop anything.

Hhmmm. Scatter hit hit's a target 3 times... maybe it dodged 1 and the other 2 hit?
NOPE, I specifically looked for this and NOPE, stop one....stop them all.

7.3 is odd, but so is 1.7 on FAS2 ![]()
Before we write that in stone, it needs to be tested more as that was not my primary purpose.

Did 50 trials the other day, and i ended up with a 7.6 Damage mod. Was using a CDEF vs. a variety of non-armoured mobs on Naboo. The synth steak revelation is pretty cool though. But i noticed that when i was recorded damage the mind damage was fairly low. Looks as if it hits on pool hard and then "bounces" a small amount on the other pools, but appears to follow the 3:2:1 Health:Action:Mind ratio
Yeah my tests were going thru my armor which has slightly varying % resists so that is why I want more testing.
And remember that even ActionShot and LegShot "leak" into the other pools so 7.5X is probably more in-line. Oh and as you did, nobody test this on a lair ![]()

I've found scattershot to be a straight 33% chance for each pool. Fighting something like an enhanced kwi, which takes a lot of shots to kill, all 3 pools seem to go down at about the same rate.
This is so easy to test, I will use ScatterShot2 instead of FullAutoArea2 to level a bit on some Rancors ![]()
Obviously I didn't have time to record the color of the number above my head, but I can tell you it was RED more often than not so I strongly believe the 3/2/1 HAM ratio. But I won't make any statements of FACT until I test it fully.
