Thread: Is it really worth it?
ACK!! NO edit button!
Anyway what I was going to say was:
Is it worth it to get Master Combat Medic?
The way I understand it, the Combat Medic support tree is broken and does nothing in the broad scheme of being a combat medic right now. Other than simply getting the title of combat medic, what would be the benefit of taking that tree up?
I am considering just taking the important ones that sort of work like ranged healing and crafting while maintaining enough skill points to take up a doctor tree or two and still maybe swing a little pistol skill too.
What do you think
If CM is broken, I get this from the forum here, not from personal experience since I just picked up the skill, I will still master it. Hopefully the devs will fix the class, and when they do I will be rip roaring ready to go. In the mean time I will continue to build up my pistol skills.

Absolutely. If you want to make up your mind, try going with a group to Dantooine and running a few missions. As a doc or as a medic, you'll be running all over the place trying to keep the group alive and you'll lose most of them simply because you can't get to them fast enough. As a Combat Medic, keeping 5 peeps healthy is not a problem. More often than not, if the group wipes, it'll be due to eithermind pool damage OR you got waxed early in the fight. I have no regrets going CM and strongly encourage docs topick up at least novice CM and get out of the freaking hospitals. The only draw back to CM is that you're going to be spending a lot of time at your crafting station, doing harvester runs, looking for resources, etc. And there's no real market for the CM meds yet, so you've got to find time to run missions to keep yourself financially afloat as well. That'll change in thefuture as more docs pick up CM med crafting and begin to offer themeds, but in the mean time, be ready to xps grind. It's not THAT bad once you master CM med crafting and get a factory. And the fixes on the way are only going to make a great class even better.

in PvE, CMs are the gods of damage. I have kept grps of 10+ alive without issue losing people only to mind damage which there is nothing we cannot do.
In PvP, we are jokes and basically have to spec in an advanced weapon profession to do anything. The amounts of damage especially mind damage out in PvP right now, makes CMs almost useless in PvP.
I can't answer this because I've never really had the chance to see a jedi in action, so I'm turning it over to you all. Is a jedi character worth the hours of profession grind? I'd like to hear from people who actually have already gone through this and have gotten their force-sensitive slots as well as those who are grinding...
Thanks for your insight and input!
