Thread: Krayts immune to Cripple... JOY!

and for those who say "hey grab some group" the tank is unable to keep agro at him so krayt will go for ranged and ....

Take a SL with you.
Verbal Assault (Leadership II) - Increases the amount of aggro generated by a single group member.

About time they did this. Having a Ranged player with Snare/Root/KD able to solo EVERYTHING in this game was just a joke.
Now, perhaps people will start to group again to solo high end creatures. Get a SL and your tank will most likely keep up the agro.

Yeah, lets group up to get minimal loot. That's a grand idea.

Two points:
- It's a lot of fun to go hunting Krayt, Gorax or other stuff in group.
- Now that the beasts are not soloable any more, their loot tables again can be adjusted accordingly, dropping not only more but also more _valuable_ stuff.

They can be adjusted for solo play just as easy as group play. Just because MMO games allow playing with multiple people does not mean you should be forced to group with people to advance. Sure grouping is fun, but you should be able to get viable loot solo.
Here: If they are going to do a loot system, I think it should be based on the following concept.
Solo Loot:
1)Less quantity (group kill rate > solo kill rate)
2)Quality Loots
Group Loot
1)Quality Loots
2)More quantity (group kill rate > solo kill rate)
This way, if you fight in a group you are still getting more benefits than you would be solo. But solo players should be able to gain goodies also.
I was reading about the high end mobs taking a very lengthy (TEDIOUS) chunk of time to kill. Just because you allow fights to prolong does not make it more fun, just more repetitive and tedious(See: Boring). I just want all people to get equality in some form.
Patch Notes -
"We're planning on adding several new and interesting loot items into the game, to coincide with the increasing challenge of some encounters, while balancing the baseline damage ranges from normal NPCs to ensure the overall difficulty level of the game does not increase."
They aren't going to fix the old loot, just add new stuff. Then again, that's going by the official patch notes so who really knows.

I can't imagine what you would be like in another MMO either, I don't have prophetic powers. The way SWG is made, solo play is just active as multiple person playing. If you can't solo high end stuff, then atleast let solo players get mass quantity of lower quality items but don't make those mass quantity items useless.

Lemme put it this way, if you wanna solo, you should pick up KotoR. MMOs are designed to be multiplayer, the best example is in Everquest I think, a TON, think the images of the clone armys fresh off the line, teamed up, and droped a mob the devs said was impossible. THAT is what an MMO is, not, "I'm going to go out and farm the toughest thing out there, while in bathroom." That kills MMO, cause soon, people learn to Macro it out(Both ingame and 3rd party) and like the Diablo's, involve logging in, starting a few macros, go away, come back, and be rich.

Just tried it... says "IMMUNE" and they run right up on you.
So be prepared to be eaten next time you try to solo a Krayt 
Last fun soloing opportunity nerfed... woot!

Maybe instead of soloing everything..why not take a few guildies and go kill them? I'm sure some people would actually enjoy the experience.
Besides, you knew it was coming, they posted notes that high level (read, elite) mobs will now have a chance to completely be unaffected by roots, snares, etc.
