Thread: does master carbines get a kinetic dmg carbine at all?

Has anyone discovered a loot carbine or quest carbine (kinetic dmg) for master carbs or has a combat cert?

the nyms slugthrower is decent its kinetic/acid and lvl50. i think if you do the quest over the new ones are like 280dps unsliced

/agree
and once(sometime between now and forever)elemental works it'll work great.

so is elemental damage bugged cause i did purchase a couple nyms as I too found them to be decent and actually pretty cool looking?

Go to the Avatar platform, and you can loot the Blackscale Hallsweeper Carbine off of one of the trandoshans. It looks like a DXR6, but does kinetic damage. It does higher damage than the Nym's, roughly 377-754.

wheres the avator platform?
would i just loot it off a troop, so its not a quest

nyms is the best kinetic i've found, even my enhanced Czerka is about 20DPS lower then my nym's

Not actually. The DPS calculation is taking Elemental damage into account, which isnt working at all just now, so your Czerka will probably be quite a lot better.

Rather than type out all the information for the Blackscale, I did the next best thing:

You'll notice the gun is sliced. I got a speed slice, and I don't recall the original speed stat.
I don't have a complete guide on how to get to the Avatar Platform. It's a space station that orbits Kashyyk, and you have to go through a quest itself in order to get there. I've never done this quest. One of my guildmates has, and we just go up in his ship. Only the group leader needs to have completed the quest in order for the whole group to get there. So I would suggest either searching the Quests forum for information on how to get to the Avatar Platform, or finding a guildmate who already has a ticket.

There's also the Alliance Needler, but its not overly impressive.
