Thread: Carbineers deserve the better
Yea......yea........keep dreaming . It would be nice though. Think a few new weapons wouldsatify methough instead of a revamp. A BH also has to spend more skill points to get his profession, whereas a normal carb only needs carbs 4. I want that CDEF too.

I wish for the carbineer population to restock. We have barely 24 on the most populated server (Eclispe). Guess how many Infinity has.....3. I believe this is showing something about who is blasting away with a carbine...
Seeing as we also get more speed bonuses from BH than Carbineer I demand this be changed too. There are BHs faster than master carbineers with thier own weapon. The system of carbines are freaked up.
Post here if you agree with me and wish for entirely a carbineer revamp.

That being said a lot of the problems with the current carbineer are also problems with current systems in the game. For example speed. A Master Carbineer gets +60, a Master Swordsman gets +75. Really not a huge difference until the speed formula is applied at which point those precious extra 15 points become the world. Combat as a whole needs to a face lift in this game, not just carbineers ... and that is exactly what we are getting.

Hehe, I feel ya brother. But quite honestly, the whole game needs a complete revamp, and not just BH or carbineer. A new carbine would be sweet, especially a coldcarbine with decent damage (say around 200-220 max, 100-150 min with current armor resists. Cold isn't used much. Ever might be a better word tho.), or an electric with highdamage(say 300+ max, and 150-200 min)and medium AP. But quite honestly, the devs have quit listening to the forums (and all I can say to that is THANK GOD. They've listen to too many whiners as it is, and I shutter to think what would happen if half the stuff petitioned for on the forums actually went through).
But with the CU, there is a possibility that I will be shedding Carbineer (yet again).I have a hunch that the devs will be either change BH to where it has it's own type of weaponry (i.e. trade out the carb and pistoleer trees for a set of trees for Bounty Arsenal, or something like that) or drop the weapon trees period, and not force BH's to take on any kind of specific combat class. Either way, change is welcome.
As for the KDfire, well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news.....
The KDfire was never intended to have a "flame on" effect on your target. I've been in the game since 55 days after the launch, and KDfire has never set anyone on fire. That's one reason why mostranged BH's are pistoleers (that and pistoleer doesn't seem to suck as much, damn that dodge). Another reason is the KD timer and dizzy resists/nerfs, choice of weaponry and damage types.
Quite honestly, I welcome the CU with open arms. They can't possibly screw the game up more than they have. Can they? Guess I shouldn't have said that. [crosses fingers]

Honestly though, discussion of viable damage types would be useless because of the potential drop in buffs/armor, which would make our standard damage types hopefully better.
The Combat Upgrade/Revamp/Balance may indeed balance out all forms of damage so that we wouldn't really need any new weapons. I'm actually quite satisfied with the Carbineer profession right now, to be honest. It has a few flaws, but if it didn't change come the Revamp, I wouldn't mind too much. It's other professions which need nerfing/help.

Everyone knows that you are privvy to all the information we have ever wanted, and are only holding back as part of a grand correspondant conspiracy to "pwn the community".
I never have been coy about me knowing....I have posted a number of times lately that I know but can't tell. If I did spill the beans then I would more than likely be removed from my Corr position and most definitely not allowed in the CU anymore.....for the Carbineer Profession and me personally I don't like the sound of that ![]()
The CU Docs are HUGE and the scope must be fully explained to comprehend it, so just talkiing about weapons would just lead to more questions than I have now....
BTW, yes I want to tell all of you how awesome the whole CU is, but that would be suicide at this point so you all have to get into the Closed Beta or wait for it to hit TC....sorry.

The whole point is to make solo'ing the high mobs hard-impossible.
If you want to play a solo game, play a FPS
