Maybe not a new weapon. Just change or add a cell to making a carbine that would allow you to add a "hollow point enhancement" this could act as a change over Energy to blast.

The 100% resists on certain Nightsisters is a bit of a pain.. in the case of the ones you mentioned, 100% to everything except Kinetic and Blast is indeed ridiculous..
BUT.. I believe it was intended that way so as to ensure people would need to group in order to take them. Even our Riflemen friends can't do anything against them.. you have no idea how many frustrations with guildmates I've had to deal with because of this.. I just tell them to look at their overall damage output and quit whining.
On the flipside, Elders are vulnerable to Energy (25%), which is great.. but yeah.. as a Carbineer, you better hope you can dizzy/KD them (it's doable, btw, but it takes several trials) and run

Not an elder, sorry - by "them" I meantseveral of the harder Nightsisters which we cannot damage... My mistake.
A Jedi can, however.. and you can KD an elder. By dizzy/KD, I meant "cause them to fish flop" through the means of a dizzy or KD.

Jedi can pretty much inflict all states on any NPCs within seconds.. it's rather crazy. Elders don't generally 'dizzy flop' that much, but I've seen it happen several times.
Generally, if you can manage to get a dizzy on an elder and a KD, she'll flop around a bit and then make use of the "stand" bug and will stand right back up, still dizzied (like all NPCs, really.)

yeah if you have someone to tank for them 2 knights can take an elder out in under 2 minutes
