Carbineers are widely known as the poor brother of the rifleman. Pistols get used alot due to certain defenses. Carbines?
But Carbines are great, they really are. I love em. Ok, so i kinda cheated and got BH carbs 4 aswell. But man, is so powerful. I accidently pulled 6 NS the other day, not sentries, but tamers and iniates. Not only did i survive, i ruled.
My cheap 500 max laser(20k and a PU) set 2 to flop mode in 2 secs. I killed 2 more before they closed. The 2 in melee gave me some hassle till set em with almost all states and made em kneel. The floppers had got up by now and were promptly "crippled" by me befdore they closed. 2 NS left i simply powered through. They died quick like a durni in a microwave.
Ok, as a swordsman this was standard practice, so why post about it? Cos as a swordsman i queued spin and then made a cup of coffee. As a carbineer i used about 6 different specials and 2 weapons. It was fun. And thats what its about right? Carbineer is fun, I love this class, and i hope it stays just as good after the balance.
Just thought i would post, as i see alot of negativity in boards. this board has almost none, dunno why, carbineers must be positive folk, but i like it like that and wanted to join in.

your saying you killed 2 nightsisters in the time it takes to fry a bunny? Frying bunnies takes much longer. The screamingis great though.

Being a Carbineer actually require some tactics when playing compared to other professions, atleast from my experience, and that is certainly one of the reasons I like them.

You cheated, adding BH carbines puts you at speed cap, You're not a "true" carbineer

Yea, that's like stacking defenses any saying you pwn!
Although i do agree, Carbineer is fantastic fun. It makes you a little less uber in pve, which actually makes things more fun (when the risk of dying is higher).

<------ MBH/carbine/pistol dabbler I know I suck...but....
I love carbines. Everyone is telling me to go full pistol but how can I give up something this fun? It still totally amazes everyone when we farm faction and some rebel player bases. FA2, FA2, chargeshot2....lots and lots of flopping reb npc's. And I mean ALOT! Janta's a problem? Nope, FA2, FA2, FA2 (third for those pesky defense stacking shaman's) and chargeshot2. As a rifleman I usually have to take a beating as I kill each one at a time if they get reach me before SS2 kills them (they just had to give them burst run didn't they). As a carbineer it doesn't happen as often.
The weapon switch delaydid more harm toour available tactics than anything else in this game. Armor I can understand why but not weapons. Stop pampering the darn Jedi's already. Grinding 1million jedi exp instead of 900k carbine exp is still just a grind, not a challenge.

Carbines make you think. We're not incredibly gifted in defenses by mechanics, we're not so powerful we can spam and forget. But when you're on top of your game, you can pull off victories which might seem mundane to any other profession, but among those of us who've been Carbineers for any length of time, we know and respect the work that goes into those victories.
Case and point:

Like it was said in above posts, carbineer is one of the only class that gives a real combat experience because you have to use several weapons and specials in the same combat. This gives us one of the funniest class to fight with.
Death to endless spamming!!
Long live to us!

BH carbines + Carbines doesn't suck, it's like taking along Mbrawler with Mfencer, it's an enhancement and it really worth it.

Bounty Hunter and Master Carbineer may resolve a number of issues, including speed and accuracy, but there are still some very core issues with the damage restrictions we face.
I really wish they would add a unique Bounty Hunter carbine like they did with the Pistol and LLC. Carbineers just keep getting screwed.

How about they fix the "radius" feature on the EE3. I mean BH's get the "SCATTER" pistol which doesn't scatter and a carbine with a 3.0 radius. Sounds alot like a small area effect to me, which would cause a bypass of Lightsabers.
As for new carbines.....well I'm still drooling over those pictures someone posted. Any carbine with a name like "the Intimidator" gets me all worked up with anticipation.
Hey you REALLY want to play the underdog? Be a carbineer/Imperial.....too many Skywalker wannabe's.

A Dodgeball quote appropriate to the thread title:
"The painting of me grabbing the bull by the horns is a metaphor... but it really happened!"
