I have to entirely agree with the original poster here, Carbineers truely are one of the best profs out there in terms of fun. And what other profession allows you to be proficient in the magnificent Nyms Slugthrower? I love my Slugthrower. Mixed with Master Bounty Hunter and Master Carbineer, and well sliced, it truely is a killer of a weapon. It's my prefered weapon of choice and often wander around with nothing but my Nyms in my inventory. 
In fact, since getting Master BH, I don't think I've even touched my Krayt Scatter Pistol which all the MBH+Pistoleers yabber on about endlessly.

It may not be effective, but making Nym's Slugthrower into a Kinetic Damage weapon would be cool. The "Tommy Gun" or "Chicago Typewriter" for SWG!

another underdog story:
i was on TC2, trying out my bh/carb/pist template, and figured, hell, everyone's going to lose b/c of geo blaster and no stun armor..so i switched over to mbh mcarbineer, and started asking for no armor duels (85% resist to everything is the standard armor given out, and that just takes too long for everyone) of course, with my master carbineer tag up..well, i got quite a few laughs, but this cocky tkm-fencer-mbrawler steps up and quotes "i'll kill..i mean duel you..carbineer noob" honest to god..so we start out, i land 3 sprayshots, he's got all three states, charge2, he's down, sprayshot the rest of the way, noticed it was hitting mind alot so i switched over to scatter 2, and he was dead. and just for fun, i torso shotted him after he regained conciousness and burnt him for about 700 wounds. he logged after that... and 7/7 duels later, i was still un-defeated, against multiple tkm-fencer and other meleers, even against riflemen (hint-stay about 1 meter away from them, accuracy is awful for them, not nearly as bad for us)
