Thread: Opinion based poll.. Carbineer profession broken?
Hello fellow Carbineer's..
I just have a simple question, based entirely upon your opinions.. I would prefer just to read either a "Yes" or "No" but I realize that some of you would like to offer an explanation to back up your opinion.. but please keep these explanations as short as possible..

I just want to get a feel for the communities opinion..
I am not sure if the profession is broken, carbines are broken, combat system is broken or what. But something is very wrong when I take more damage from using my weapon then from being hit.
So, I would have to say Yes.

Going with the dict. definition of broken, yes,the classis broken. (so is the whole game)
But people can still use a broken bat to bop someone on the head. Some broken things are actually effective in some cases like a broken bottle of glass in a bar fight.
perhaps not as broken, as not working as intended, seems quite a few issues need looked into

HAMs too hight and fire rate is too low to compeat with pistols.
Thats the basic problem.
The real funny joke is that BH get LLC and we get an "Elite" carbine ROFL.

Broken implies unplayable. There are bugs that need fixing, yes, but I can hold my own in combat just fine as a carbineer.
Yes, I totally agree. Since the last patch, I have been missing my targets 60% of the time. My ActionShot2 doesn't hit until the 4th shot, and by that time, I'm more than half dead from the HAM costs!

Pistols are superior in every way to carbine. Well except one. We have an AE Posture down. Which kinda' rules. When it doesn't kill you. Or need to be used more than once.
The carbineer profession could be great once they fix the broken skills and lower the HAM costs on carbines. Whenever I use full auto 2 with my laser carbine, it takes 137 total away from me, and my strength and constitution are maxed out.
So my answer would be mostly yes, but with apparent potential.
Fix the ham costs!

and we will be a lot better off. I am a doctor as well as being a carbineer and I heal myself more than I do other people in groups and I'm not even getting hit. This is sad. I'm supposed to be the master of this weapon type and it's trytingkill me everytime I use it. Not to mention that bounty hunters can use it better than I can. Ha! I can't imagine what carbineers that wear armor and have no medic skills do in this game, hang out in the cantina?
